The inscription mentions a freedman of some Vibii named Festus. It is carefully cut and carved, and it shows a series of round holes on its perimeter which were drilled to fix an overlapping frame, currently lost.

In this work, I shall update the ample catalogue of legal inscriptions on bronze found in Baetica, before moving on to analyse the example posed by this heritage-rich province concerning the elaboration of legal bronzes, the representativeness of the existing catalogue, the administrative function, cultural meaning and ideological impact of these bronzes, and the circumstances surrounding the melting or reuse of tabulae aheneae.

C. In this paper a relevant ensemble of numerous tablet fragments on bronze is presented. It comes from the recent excavations carried out on the southeast corner of the forum of Baelo Claudia (Tarifa, Cádiz) throughout the archaeological campaigns of 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Of very small dimensions and some of them anepigraphic, only a few conserve a scarce number of letters. Their morphological features suggest a very probable identification with legal documents; at least one of them seems to be part of a municipal law. The shape, technical aspects and archaeological context of the pieces complete the information provided by this interesting find, as the result of a discard process, or better, an adaptation for a future reuse at the end of 4th or along 5th centuries AD.
