Abstract
Torrente Ballester is one of the main authors in the narrative written in Spanish. He wrote several essays on the art of storytelling, in which he figured out the components of other novels, as in El Quijote como juego, Cotufas en el golfo and some speeches and newspaper articles; and he explained his own writing process, as in Diario de un vate vago. On the other hand, he wrote novels and narrative texts where he completes his inquiries on the writing process; in those stories, there are writers in the act of telling. Scholars are publishing works about his complex comprehension on narrative; not only did he compose novels, but he developed a theory on the value of tales for human being, which allows his characters to reflect human core making the reader feel identified, and to create fictions. Torrente Ballester learnt to look at the world through Literature, he realized that both facts that really take place and fictions are essential for the existence of human being; Literature is a tool that human being uses to understand himself, the others and the world that surrounds him. In that way, Torrente Ballester transformed all that he perceived, thought and made (or desired to make) into narrations and he gave a valuable testimony about how to build them; that is, he systematized his subjective experience, his social experience and his knowledge of the world in Literature.

Abstract
The picaresque arises from the logic of corruption, which extends over time, and from the critical sense of narrators over the centuries. Although it has changed a lot formally because the novel has also evolved, it maintains in the background the criticism of a context that promotes that the psychology of the characters makes the physiological needs of security and recognition predominate and that leaves in the background the filiation and self-realization. This paper is going to expose the literary genre and will try to see, from a small but significant corpus of novels published a few years apart (El recurso del método [1978] by Alejo Carpentier, Los helechos arborescentes [1980] by Francisco Umbral and La ciudad de los prodigios [1986] by Eduardo Mendoza).

Methodologically, a documentary review of treaties, conventions, movements, regulations and literature specialists was carried out. An approach based on the role played by narrative in the situation of people with disabilities was carried out. The following results of what education should promote can be highlighted: i) to emphasise language because inclusion is naturalised in everyday speech; ii) to analyse educational needs with respect to a condition or situation and iii) to understand that reflections on these terms help to make inclusivity visible. Overall, the use of narrative to accommodate inclusive language makes it easier for society to recognise inclusivity.

Language expresses the tension and the unique life of those who use it to communicate their experience (Ricoeur, 1980). For this reason, the reading process is much more than the reception of the data contained in the text. It is a personal and transformative experience that is placed "at the service of the poetic function, that strategy of discourse by which language is stripped of its function of direct description to reach the mythical level in which its function of discovery is released" (Ricoeur, 1980). This paper continues previous research about the motivation and cognitive processes of reading (Sevilla-Vallejo, 2018) through the construction of meaning proposed by Paul Ricoeur. Reading develops the identity of students because it relates their selfhood and ipseness. An approach to reading is proposed from the mimesis defined by Paul Ricoeur to get the text to connect with "a close experience, either because he has lived it, or because he has fantasized it before" (apud Roca, 2003), in mimesis I or prefiguration; then to offer the student a coherent vision about the characters, the world in which they live and the adventure that is related, in mimesis II or configuration; and, finally, to favor an internal change in the student who, after having lived the adventures of the character and having reflected on them, not only understands the book better, but also understands himself and understands the world better (Roca, 2003), in mimesis III or refiguration. We have called this narrative action (Sevilla-Vallejo, 2022) and, in this work, it is applied to training at the linguistic levels.

Through a comprehensive analysis of literary works spanning various genres and historical periods, the research seeks to uncover recurring themes, motifs, and storytelling techniques employed by women authors to depict resilience in the face of challenges. By delving into the rich tapestry of women's literature, the study aims to elucidate how these narratives serve as powerful vehicles for expressing and shaping societal perceptions of female strength. Additionally, the research investigates the role of literature in fostering resilience among women, both in terms of personal empowerment and societal transformation. Ultimately, this exploration not only highlights the resilience inherent in women's stories but also underscores the transformative potential of literature in shaping narratives of strength and triumph for women across diverse contexts and cultures. Several literary works are analyzed, especially La estrella de rubíes by Carmen Martel.

Abstract
The feminine identity has been dominated by a stereotype that impoverishes it, but the masculine identity has also been stereotyped in a complementary way. Carmen Martel's La estrella de rubíes presents a series of signs that seem to go veiled against the passive image of women and the active image of men. In this work, the psychological, historical and literary reasons for stereotypes in literature in general and specifically in children's adventure stories are studied. Likewise, a psychocritical study of the lapus calami and the ironies that reduce the nobility of male characters and enhance the character of Belica is made. It is concluded that, although La estrella de rubíes most of the time presents a conservative image that allowed its acceptance, but that offers a gender claim that can be read between the lines.

Abstract.
This study addresses the processes of identity formation in teenagers, and how teachers' behavior and expectations may contribute to that identity being truncated by a narrative of failure. We analyze discourse choices of teachers, power relations, the experience of agency in students, and success-oriented pedagogy to foster an identity that offers an alternative identity to overcome the narrative of school failure.

Identity encompasses the unique combination of characteristics, beliefs, values, and experiences that define an individual or a group. Resilience, on the other hand, refers to the ability to bounce back from adversity, overcome challenges, and adapt to difficult circumstances. The interplay between identity and resilience is profound, as one’s identity serves as a source of strength and motivation in the face of adversity. This essay explores the intricate relationship between identity and resilience, highlighting their significance in personal growth and societal development.

These have important cultural implications in the way multimedia cultural products are produced and received. The learning of foreign language, specifically English, has become widely excepted as an unconditional norm. The current global context has created a need for successful and efficient teaching and learning. Consequently, this has made the research in the field of second language acquisition significantly active in the past decades. The use of subtitled audio – visual material in foreign language teaching is considered an innovative strategy for foreign language instruction. It is an effective teaching tool since it enhances second language learning both from linguistic and sociocultural perspective. The full potential of the use of subtitles in classroom practice is still to be explored. However, the recent findings in regard are more than encouraging. This paper aims to provide a set of evidence on the multifaceted implications the subtitled audio – visual materials have for second language learning. It analyses this process from theoretical aspect considering all the elements involved in second language learning through watching subtitled films and TV series, while denoting possible directions for its implementation in foreign language teaching. The proposal is based on the indicators which show a certain connection between the use of subtitles for films and TV series as a general system for multimedia translation and the level of proficiency in English language specifically. The research in this field is still limited, so there is a large number of lines of investigation to carry out which could allow learners who are exposed to foreign language only in classroom to benefit from as greatly as possible.

Based on this educational legal framework, the objective of this study is to determine how the age of onset to acquire a foreign language and motivation both influence in the pronunciation of the French language in university students. To accomplish this work, quantitative research was used and the methodology is descriptive correlative. There are previous studies that sustain that students of a foreign language that began at an early age have acquired better pronunciation of FLE compared to those who began their learning process at a later age. The human being at an early age has great muscular flexibility, it is precisely in this period that the muscles of the mouth must be trained to reproduce the sounds of the L2 phonological system. This research revises with Spearman test correlation this theory with French as a foreign language Peruvian’ students. This study also analyzes the importance of motivation for this area of learning process. The empirical results allow to confirm that the best stage to learn a foreign language is childhood, since a child's brain has greater plasticity; which allows it to unconsciously appropriate a second language and the positive impact of motivation on learning of pronunciation of French as a foreign language. It is possible to conclude that we have to foster foreign language since younger ages.

Both educational policies and laws in Ecuador respond to this through play and art. For these reasons, this article offers a gamification response that allows the integration of different arts in the educational framework. To achieve this it contextualizes gamification and provides a historical development of special needs work in Ecuador. The gamification offers teachers an intervention model based on the anthropological notion of game-based learning. It can address the developmental challenges that are experienced in a natural way, through motivation, commitment, the competition and freedom to fail, which makes learning more flexible. This is complemented by art developed with five artistic fields: music, dance, literature, plastic arts and theater, which help the students to be the center of the process of teaching and learning, as one attempt to rebalance reality and logic, imagination, awareness and experience. This article is developed through a descriptive study, with the purpose of analyzing situations and events, knowing the relationship or degree of association that exists between two or more categories in a particular context. This has been reflected in an experience in the Ecuadorian Educational System, through a Pedagogical Support Guide (PSG), as well as 150 work booklets (WB) developed in the framework of the Covid 19 emergency, will be used for all students of initial level, up to high school, including those with an educational need. The Guide and the booklets had to undergo the validity process of expert judgment method. This was answered by technical teams from the Ministry of Education and UNICEF, as well as teachers from different courses. Finally, a training for teachers was developed.

It is very common, for example, to read remarkable authors in aisolation. Edgar Allan Poe and Jorge Luis Borges have influenced literature, arts and culture in the widest sense. Yet, the 19th-century United States of Edgar Allan Poe may seem far from the 20th-century Argentina of Jorge Luis Borges. It is possible that we don’t know so well the connections between both of them. And if we are knowledgeable about these connections, we tend to look for the influences of Poe on Borges, but we don’t usually consider how the works by Borges (essays, translations and fictions) have changed the way we read Poe. Emron Esplin explains the context and techniques of these authors with precision and clarity.

Among other goals, the system aims to provide bilingual training from a very early age; therefore, students are exposed to English for many hours in different subjects. However, as teachers, we cannot settle for quantity but must strive for the quality of teaching (Sevilla-Vallejo, Elaboration of ESL 422-23). Therefore, the methodology and the materials used in the classroom should be a priority in the teaching process. Moreover, there are some significant challenges to defining a comprehensive frame for the curriculum, not least of which is the continuity between primary and secondary education: what is taught at primary level must create a foundation for that which is learnt at secondary (Brewster and Ellis 10). In this regard, the practical nature of primary teaching is seen as highly beneficial, since active learning, wherein students "do" rather than "listen," attaches "real meaning" to the lesson content (Cambridge Primary English Guide 38). It is debatable as to what extent the Spanish education system has built a comprehensive and participatory model of English teaching. In order to find out, it is essential to know the history of the manuals that have been used. La enseñanza del inglés en España (ss. XIX-XX): análisis contrastivo de manuales empleados en los centros de Bachillerato is one such text which provides that history. It gives a thorough review of the way English has been taught in Spain and the manuals which were available to teachers during this time period. It is interesting how it contextualizes both the interest in English culture and language, and the changes that have occurred in how the learning of English has been understood. The book consists of three main chapters: firstly, the authors offer a historical development of English teaching in Spain, beginning with the Middle Ages and going into more depth regarding the situation in the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries; the second chapter provides an analysis of the policy of teaching English in Spain from the nineteenth to the first half of the twentieth century; and the third chapter presents a detailed analysis of the didactic texts and dictionaries used to teach English.

Abstract
Disortography although it is often linked to dyslexia or dysgraphia should be understood as a separate entity, since it can occur in isolation or in comority with these alterations, being especially frequent its association with dysgraphia. Spelling and learning plays a very important role in school, from an early age, writing becomes the machine learning that depends on spelling rules that children learn by heart. This work conducts an extensive review on this topic that helps to study students with disortography. Since this review, an intervention proposal has been developed for students of 3rd Grades with disortography with the intention of helping to improve some of the misspellings they present. This seeks to expand all the knowledge and causes of this difficulty to contribute to or follow progress in its spelling for learning.

Abstract:
Adolescence is a key period in our lives and is often determined by situations that make us question our own identity. Therefore, different authors have studied how teenagers build their identity throughout this stage, based on theories and applying to them a narrative therapy to make the process more bearable in the adolescent. The narrative in the study of the construction of adolescent identity, is of great help, since it is through it, stories, fantasy, fairytales... etc., where teenagers are reflected, and this is what makes them rethink questions about their person, and through this they enter the process of building their own identity. In this work, we will analyze adolescence, the emotional and social characteristics of adolescents, and then immerse ourselves in the study of the construction of adolescent identity, where through different theories we will reach a narrative therapy that seeks to help the student in this process of search and change. Finally, a teaching unit will be proposed, based on different methodologies, where the student will be able to build his own identity, based on the narrative, and more specifically, based on the fantasy novel of Harry Potter, on which, through his peers, he will be able to make a reconstruction of his own identity.

Abstract
The written comprehension of our students is far from being that desired by society. Improving this ability is an added challenge for teachers of Spanish Language and Literature, who already have difficulty complying with all the curriculum required by the current educational law. In the act of writing, a series of high-level cognitive processes, textual interpretation, reflection and textualization are involved, which allows us to jointly develop the competences required of our students. Therefore, if the writing ability is promoted, the rest of the essential skills for the communicative competence of the students will be promoted too. In this work, we will analyze the functions and processes of reading and writing acts followed by the basic characteristics of writing workshops. After this current research, we will present a writing workshop in which we have wanted to work on all communication skills together. Developed to be applied in 3rd of ESO, it works on written and oral understanding and expression, but also knowledge of the Language and Literary Education.

Abstract
In the current context defined by the new technologies boom and it’s masive use by the society, specially teenagers, Spanish Language and Literature subject should tend to an approach to the digital world, with the purpose of renewing its contents and create a real space where the student could gain the learning in a meaningful way. To achieve this goal, the flash fiction genre, so trendy nowadays, is positioned as a very interesting genre to be brought to the high school classroom, because it is adapted to the different digital formats characterised by the extremely brevity, the audiovisual nature and the inmediacy. Therefore, in this essay it has been raised a teaching unit project that brings together the flash fiction and social media to develop innovations in tradicional teaching and methodologies of this subject and to make it also closer to the student through the using of Twitter`s platform.

Abstract
The current research is focused on the analysis of some avant-garde aesthetic elements in the tale "El antropófago" (1926), one of the most disturbing and polysemic texts by the Ecuadorian writer Pablo Palacio (1906-1947). In this sense, we have focused the object of study from a theoretical framework which has made it possible to link the European and Latin American literary avant-garde in a constant exchange of ideas, proposals and positions. Thus, the study of the development of the avant-garde and the "ismos" has been fundamental when framing the palaciana work in an avant-garde spectrum as broad as it is complex. For this, we have used a philological method and a historiographic review. Likewise, the methods used for the analysis of Pablo Palacio's tale have been deductive, inductive and descriptive, bearing in mind that the object of study is a polysemic literary text, characterized by the perlocutionary force of the avant-garde. Finally, to give more depth to the analysis, we have appeal to the theoretical and critical contribution of academics such as María del Carmen Fernández, Wilfrido Corral, Humberto Robles, Selena Millares, among others, who have contributed new perspectives and revaluations of the palaciana work that, as it is discovered in this work, it is still valid and is a privileged place for literary study from different theoretical and even sociological positions.

Abstract
In their educational work, teachers detect a variety of difficulties that affect the development of certain communication skills that prevent the students from carrying out certain tasks within the classroom. Among them is that of writing their own texts, for this reason the objective of this work is to make a didactic proposal of intervention focused on one of the greatest difficulties that students have, such as writing, but emphasizing expository texts. The proposed methodology involves significant situations for the students and a series of activities that in a procedural way lead the student to understand the step by step to achieve writing expository texts, taking into account the textual properties and structure to follow that are typical of this type of writing. To achieve this purpose, theoretical contributions are taken from authors who know the subject and who provide guidelines and elements that teacher can transform to make available to students. The design of this proposal allows teachers to have a guide to improve the methodology in the teaching of text writing, especially expository texts which are fundamental since it is a basic and habitual form of communication and the most used to express ideas demonstrating the intellectual knowledge on a certain subject in different contexts of life.

Proyecto I+D+I.

Abstract
Specific Language Disorders (SLI) are an affectation that influences many minors throughout their early years, causing them problems in various environments of their lives and that negatively affecting their intellectual, emotional, social and personal development. Neuroeducation is a science whose purpose is the study of the brain function to understand the processes that take place during education, with the ultimate goal of optimizing teaching and promoting school learning based on the strengths and limitations of minors. The Final Degree Project (TFG) that is going to be presented below has as its main objective the research of neuroeducation as a reliable and contrasted method to identify, evaluate and intervene in minors suffering from this disorder. For this reason, the importance of being able to detect early the difficulties presented by schoolchildren is exposed, collecting the most common situations that occur with them, the key points to take into account in SLI, the best ways to intervene and the methodologies more effective in promoting their development.

In addition, different Disney films for children has been analyzed along with the stories they are based on and the stereotypes and gender roles they contain, since these stories are an element of perpetuation of the same stereotypes and gender roles throughout generations. Finally, it is been designed a proposal to introduce these films in the classroom, while working on gender equality.

The second part of this dissertation develops an intervention plan to reflect upon teenager identity. This will be accomplished through a practical activity on the different aspects that construct identity.

Abstract
The purpose of this Master's Thesis is to analyze one of the dramatic works by Elena Garro, a Mexican writer, La señora en su balcón, (first published in the magazine La palabra y el hombre, No. 11, Jalapa, Mexico 1959.) Where topics about the importance of the female voice in the 20th century, and its legacy in Latin American Identity will be addressed. Through an interpretative approach to the theatrical work published in 1959, based on a Frommian psychocritical analysis of the protagonist Clara and her female characters who lead the story, women with different chronological ages, an analysis will be made in relation to themes present in the work such as: death; suicide; childhood; time; women and society; dual perception of reality, based on theoretical texts and fragments taken from the work itself, to know the self of the characters and the difficulties it has to fulfill dreams and ideals and the characteristics of culminating love described by Fromm.
