The Andean bioregion presents the greatest richness with 35 species (19.77 %), followed by Lara Falcon Hilly System with 7 (3.95 %), while 22 species are found in at least two or three bioregions

Lara state, Venezuela. The research was conducted in the area of
influence corresponding to the bioregion called Falcon-Lara Hilly
System between August 2012 and July 2014 and the main paved
roads of the entity (Lara-Portuguese road, Lara-Zulia highway,
Lara-Yaracuy road, Lara-Trujillo road and Quíbor-Sanare-Tocuyo
highway axis) through driving by vehicle. The results showed ten
(10) specimens of sideneck roadkilled (seven females, two males
and a specimen that was not possible to determine the sex); all
individuals were adults, two of whom were females ovate. The
specimens were found in ten different locations, nine belonging
to Falcon-Lara Hilly System and the other corresponding to Andes
of Lara. The presence of ovate specimens suggests resilience
achieved by P. vogli to extremes in the natural environment. We
recommend research to corroborate the current status of the species
in this semi-arid bioregion.

The finding of a specimen roadkilled allows report it for the first time to north of Lara state, extending its range 82 km (airline) south of the type locality.

This information, new to the region, is the result of confiscation, two pelts and a fingerprint record coming from concurrent supervisory actions by the Ministry of Popular Power for the Environment (Ministerio del Poder Popular para el Ambiente) and two direct observations and seven roadkill specimens from the Roadkill Project in the State of Lara. The data obtained confirm the presence of these felids in the Andean, Plains, Coastal Range and Lara-Falcon Hills System bioregions.

Similarly, was compared the distribution of the richness with human intervention in the state and the level of protection offered by Areas Under Special Administration Regime, obtained that national parks play an important role in conservation of these species.

ABSTRACT For the spatiotemporal variability with which the roadkills of foxes (Cerdocyon thous and Urocyon cinereoargenteus) occurs on the highway Barquisimeto Acarigua, Lara Plains ecoregion, we conducted 16 surveys between January 2012 and June 2013, and establish the causes and potential to implement management measures to reduce them. The results show 32 specimens of C. thous and 15 U. Cinereoargenteus, distributed mainly in the section from the Estadio Metropolitano to " Los Cristales " Traffic Control Point area of the highway that borders the west to Terepaima National Park and east Terepaima Fort Military, both sparsely human settlements where the habitat of these species is slightly intervened. In the dry season we see as many corpses, and interpret the action of burning in the vicinity of the highway leads to the pavement, exposing the roadkill.

This invasive species is mainly distributed between the cities of Barquisimeto and Cabudare,
and boasts a strong dependence on the human presence to ensure its establishment in the semiarid bioregion, this link with the implementation of a management plan for eradication could ensure success for control.
KEYWORDS: Achatina fulica, Giant African Snail, Lara State, invasive species.
