The main purpose of this study focused on training and development of Employee Knowledge, Employee Skill and Employee Attitude towards the implementation of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM). A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed via email to the organizations who implemented GHRM in Malaysia, but only 100 were returned. The results of the analysis indicated employee skills as the most significant factors for organization to implement GHRM. For the practicality of this study, GHRM is anticipated to be well implemented when the employee skills are emphasized.

In fact, Lean manufacturing system is a practice which regards the use of the resources, creation of value for the end customers, and as the ways to eliminate the waste. There are several tools that can be used to eliminate the waste within the industry. This research is a study of the implementation of 5S in manufacturing industry. Despite this, the research study focused on manufacturing industry, which has been implemented 5S system in Melaka State. Although there are number of tools and technique available to help in improving the manufacturing process, however, there is only few industries could implement the tools successfully. In this research, foreign workers play a main role in implement the 5S systems as the manufacturing industry in Malaysia adopt large amount of foreign workers to work as employees. Therefore, it is important to ensure the foreign workers truly understand the concept of 5S system and adopt the best ways to implement it in order to have better performance. This research study has been proposed by the research model of the barriers to implementation of 5S in manufacturing industry among foreign workers. A several research method has been adopted to do the research, such as descriptive research design with quantitative methods, survey questionnaire and cross-sectional studies.

This study focused on the relationship between Emotional Intelligence (Cognition & Ability, Understanding Emotions, and Emotional Decision Making) and stress among SMEs. A total of 70 entrepreneurs from different areas in Melaka participated in the survey. Reliability analysis was applied to test the instrument's reliability. Moreover, correlation analysis was applied to examine the relationship of EI factors with stress in SMEs. Regression analysis applied to determine the predicted factors of EI towards stress. The results of the analysis indicated cognition & ability, understanding other's emotions and emotional decision making had a positive relationship with stress among SMEs. For the practicality of this study, emotional intelligence can be well implemented through education to instill a sound stress management to all potential entrepreneurs.

They often involve with the shopping behavior and purchase involvement that makes their preferences towards one product would most likely depending on the attributes of the product itself. Thus, this study has developed a framework that explored the generation-Y shopping interest towards product attributes. This study applied four (4) concepts; which are the functions of the product, features of the product, benefits of the product, and generation-Y shopping interest. In this study, the researcher used empirical study by employing the questionnaire survey to investigate its managerial implications to 150 respondents of generation-Y. The data collected is analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) that showed all features of the product, functions of the product, and benefits of the product are positively affected the generation-Y shopping interest.

The tourism industry in Melaka holds huge potential for the state as it is popular for its well p... more The tourism industry in Melaka holds huge potential for the state as it is popular for its well preserved culture and heritage. As far as the authors have knowledge on, there have been no prior research to discover what drives tourists to visit Melaka. A structured questionnaire is designed of which 610 are distributed in two locations; Melaka Tengah the tourist hot spot and Kuala Lumpur International Airport. After screening and treatment, 570 of the questionnaires are valid for the analysis. The results of the analysis indicate that gaining knowledge and natural resources are the main push and pull factors respectively that contribute in motivating tourists to visit Melaka. This study provides information and sheds new light unto the tourism industry in Melaka. The tourism factor has gained considerable importance both globally and nationally as a source of economic growth and employment. Therefore, the findings of this research indirectly impacts the Malaysian government to a significant degree to draw policies eradicating spatial socioeconomic inequality in Malaysia.

The paper contains sufficient details to support that objective and suitable to be presented at the conference. Besides, this paper examines the relationship between factors influencing effectiveness and SMEs performance and also examined the key determinants of those factors towards SMEs performances. A literature review is presented to explain the effectiveness of social media marketing towards SMEs performances. In additional, a survey was carried out through questionnaire in the area of Melaka. The effectiveness of social media marketing contributes to SMEs success and contribute to their growth in the future, although some problems are acknowledged. The limitations of this research includes the limitation of the scale and scope of the survey, hence there is a need for further studies in other locations. A practical implication of this study comprises the effectiveness of social media marketing to SMEs in their daily business operation. In addition, this study provides insights into how practitioners see the effectiveness of social media marketing and may help with decision making and strategy making towards better performances of SMEs in general and in Melaka in particular.

Four (4) IPTAs has been chosen when developing the model of buyer intentions where students have been asked several set of questions to reflect their perceptions of product attributes. The IPTAs involved in this study includes UTEM, UKM, UUM, and UNISZA. Both online and offline survey through the distribution of questionanaires has been completed, and the data collected were analysed quantitatively, from simple analyses such as mean scores, to more sophisticated analysis such as multiple regression. The result shows that the variables of product attributes are significant towards online purchasing among students.

This is because people are more flexible and aware with online advertisement rather than traditional advertising. This structure is based on the characteristics, sub-characteristics and attributes of three main dimensions (complexity, compatibility and relative advantage) of the website that verified the adoption of it according to particular sector of activity and perspective. This study examines the adoption of website for private business sector, specifically in the area of Klang Valley, Malaysia. Data from a questionnaire survey of 150 respondents among 5 private companies in Klang Valley includes Petronas, Openet Telecom Malaysia, Wealth Mastery Academy, SALAM Medical Centre, and World-class Trade and Development are used to answer the research question “do the complexity, compatibility and relative advantage of website affect the way website is adopted in organization in Klang Valley, Malaysia?” The main findings revealed that the most significant predictors of the adoption of website in organization in Klang Valley is complexity. This study is hoped to contribute to both knowledge and practicality. The theory of diffusion of Innovation can be extended. In practical, Malaysian Business Organization can have a better understanding of the important characteristics of website before it can be adopted.

— this study aims to explore the adoption of Malaysian Standards (MS) on SMEs performances and is... more — this study aims to explore the adoption of Malaysian Standards (MS) on SMEs performances and is mediated by characteristics of MS, characteristics of SMEs and external factors. This study was conducted using questionnaires distributed to 300 SMEs in various sectors. The statistical analysis utilized Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS). A multiple mediation model enabled us to investigate the specific indirect and direct effect of each mediator. Results showed that the proposed MS factors were significant in impacting SME performance. The results also showed that characteristics of MS, characteristics of SME, and external factors are positively associated with SME performance. The results imply that adoption of MS may increase SMEs performance through mediating factors. The study shed new light on SMEs performance through this adoption. The results also have implications for practitioners and academics.
