There are more than one and a half billion people living in the poverty. The church has been active in the poverty reduction and defining poverty. Pentecostalism is a relatively young movement. The classical story tells Pentecostalism born in the early 1900s, but has since grown into a major movement. What is the Pentecostal theological view of poverty?
The theoretical framework in this Master Thesis is Pentecostalism, which is interpreted by Paul Freire's pedagogy. Based on Freire's banking education concept this paper argues that Pentecostal hermeneutics created Pentecostals, who see their role just as observers, not as active forces in issues of poverty. The research data is literature, where the unifying factor is the Bible, and poverty. The research data is analysed based on Freire's liberating education theory.
The research data shows that poverty was not God's original intention, nor the enormous wealth. Based on the data poverty can be reduced and it is a duty of every believer to be actively involved. Pentecostals believe that the Holy Spirit is actively helping in this. Equal gender roles helps to reduce poverty and this should be better taken into account in Pentecostal theology. This study gives a picture of the evolving Pentecostalism, but they may need to clarify their understanding of poverty. Hopefully issues that are raised in this Master Thesis will lead to the Pentecostal theology of poverty which leads to ending the injustice.

In Church Dogmatics, IV/1, §60, Karl Barth wrote of “The Pride and Fall of Man,” the first theme in his hamartiology of pride, sloth and falsehood. This thesis will argue that Barth’s conflict with the German Christian Movement served as a source of Barth’s hamartiology of pride. This is specifically evidenced by the reference to Aaron as a man of the “national church” in the lengthy excursus on Exodus 32 in Church Dogmatics §60. Weimar humiliation in Germany had provoked reaction in the movement for a nationalistic church, which Nazism attempted to absorb. Theologians Paul Althaus, Gerhard Kittel and Emanuel Hirsch, among others, provided justification for this. Barth, however, indicted the “German Christians” for the sin of pride, maintaining that in turning people from the God of the Bible to the idolatrous god of the state, they had proudly and sinfully said “No” to God’s “Yes” revealed in Jesus Christ.

t last, here is a ”how to” book that is written by a practising chief executive who has lived A through the usual contradictions of “do with less resources while maintaining or improving the quality of health services.” Much of the literature on total quality management have been prescriptive. Very little is often said about how to accomplish results in the practical sense which is key to the thinking of the many senior health service executives. Philip Hassen has tried to fill the ”knowledge to practice” gap via his own experience. For example, how many chief executive officers will scoff at the idea that the simple act of ”changing the way intravenous food bags were filled alone saved $50,000 in the first year?”
