The social networking sites or the social media have enormous number of users. Currently, Facebook is the most used social media on the Internet and is among the most popular websites in Europe and worldwide. National tourism organizations in Europe should capitalize on those facts, especially using Facebook user-generated content. Facebook offers many ways for tourism promotion using features like Pages and Groups. The purpose of this paper is to identify how many NTOs in Europe have an official presence on Facebook and to determine the extent of the use of basic Facebook user-generated content (Pages and Groups). The research results showed that about half of NTOs do not have an official presence on Facebook, almost one-third of them have Facebook Pages, and almost a fifth of them have a Group. Besides the insignificant Facebook presence, NTOs do not use all the advantages that are offered by user-generated content. All trends show that Facebook community will continue to grow. NT...

Communication via digital means, such as mobile messaging applications (apps), plays an increasingly important role in everyday life. However, most messaging apps employ centralized computing principles that relinquish control of their users' personal data to social network platform providers. Decentralization has been proposed as an alternative that provides trustworthiness and data confidentiality, but this comes at expense of fewer provided features and non-intuitive user experience. To address this issue, we hereby present two interconnected decentralized messaging tools, developed in the scope of the HELIOS platform, which can support new decentralized social networks. The first tool is a framework that supports the development of context-aware decentralized messaging apps in mobile Android devices by organically tying together many of the platform's standalone decentralized operations. The second is a decentralized messaging app, called helios.TALK, that builds on the ...

The spread and pandemic of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that is currently happening in the world, has led to new policy steps in the security of public spaces to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and protect public health. There is new adaptation in the policies while using space like limiting the use of public spaces, increasing social distancing between people or creating territory. Territory means specific area where are claimed or maintained (can be physically, through ruler or symbols). Territory can give a sense of security to the users. Therefore, this paper give insight and rethinking the territory concept as sense of security in interior public space and built environment where people expect to see strangers in this space. The methods in this paper are literature review method by collecting and synthesizing previous research using integrative approach. For the result is territory concept achieved as part of protection to the users in the build environment with mechanism...

We report on experience with database user interfaces that are entity-relationship oriented, rather than relation-oriented, and provide a new level of ease-of-use for information management. Our goal is to allow technical workers with little or no knowledge of database systems, query languages, or relational terminology to use databases to solve simple information management problems. Our tools also provide new capabilities for expert users, such as database browsing using a mouse and database display using bitmap graphics.

This part is a summary of the whole project, containing all the parts included in the report and how they were done, to aim of the abstract is to give the reader a short brief of the entire project. The paper is about a mobile application called Connect.BH the application report contains all the details about it. The objective of the app is to connect people together a make it easier for them to view all the events in Bahrain. The theoretical background was taken from different articles that share the same topics, the analysis of the current system and limitation was done by observing the current system. After observing the current system, we added new features to this application that are not available in the current applications. In this paper you will see details of the project how it was planned containing the feasibility study, (technical, operational, legal, economic). Agile methodology was used to implement this application. All the functional and non-functional requirements are shown in the report as well as the system requirements. In the report there is a figure of the use case diagram, both the admin and users use case diagram. The use case diagrams were created using Clearly, in the implementation part there are figures of the pages of the application. In the last part you will see the conclusion and recommendations and the future works of the application.

Purpose-Two or multi-sided platforms-defined as those companies that aim to connect two or more groups of customers leveraging the opportunities provided by indirect network externalitiesgot massive attention from both scholars and practitioners over the last decade. Entrepreneurship scholars mainly focused on the platform's ability to enable entrepreneurial ventures for the complementors' side, exploring the network-centric view. This study aims to expand it by exploring the broader influence that sides can have on the platform provider's entrepreneurial decisions over time, during the evolution of the two-sided platform. Design/methodology/approach-The study is based on a longitudinal single case study developed over five years. The research presents the born and evolution of Friendz, an Italian two-sided platform. Findings-The research presents a four-phases evolution process that shows how the entrepreneurs may first leverage an existing platform to develop a new venture and then develop his/her own two-sided platform. In this latter phase, the findings show how the sides may actually influence the platform provider's entrepreneurial decisions, both in terms of value proposition design, but also regarding the creation of new ventures. Research limitations/implications-The study contributes to the two-sided platform literature highlighting new evolutionary paths that expand current literature and highlight the doubling platform approach. Moreover, it contributes to the entrepreneurship literature offering a novel perspective on the entrepreneurial dynamics in two-sided platforms by re-balancing the power between the platform provider and the sides within the double network-centric view. Practical implications-From a practitioners' perspective, this study offers an evolutionary path and specific tactics related to the evolution of an entrepreneurial venture based on a two-sided platforms that may inspire entrepreneurs working on two-sided platforms on how to use existing platforms and on the management of sides and the value propositions used to target them. Originality/value-This study takes a novel perspective at the intersection between platforms and entrepreneurship literature streams, exploring the power that sides have over the platform provider in shaping the platform's entrepreneurial evolution. In doing so, it proposes a double network view on two-sided platforms and highlights three network-related tensions that can guide the evolution of the two-sided platforms.
