This study highlights a security scenario involving vehicles in a Traffic Management and Information System (TMIS) network. TMIS and its nodal architecture, nicknamed Intelligent Junction (IJ), are summarized from our recent work. System design sets an example to a software architecture implementing autonomous semantic agents through semantic web services, junction-based sensor networks, local-and wide-area networking through wire/wireless integrated communication infrastructure.

This study proposes an ontology-based system which takes the non-structured/semi-structured heterogeneous TV content in heterogeneous Web resources and converts it to the structured form in a semantic data model. The TV content is discovered and redefined after aligning in semantic base according to client requirements by a semantic search agent. Through a system that is intuitive and semantic, semantic based matchmaking is applied between the concepts of required TV content information and related heterogeneous Web resources. By this study, a search assistant system which makes semantic searching in TV Web content, will be designed to satisfy user needs. As a result, the system architecture is proposed based on the TV domain ontology base facilitating personalized access to heterogeneous TV contents of Web documents.
Abstract – Services publishing and discovery are essential issues for utilization of web services, however; the topic of service selection is not possible for current specifications of web services. Whereas service discovery is through using Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI) and Web Services Description Language (WSDL), however those technologies do not provide grounds for finding appropriate web services at the required accuracy and quality of service (QoS) by the consumer. This article discusses a Semantic Search Agent (SSA) approach that discovers appropriate web services according to their semantic description matching consumer requirements. The descriptions comprise of QoS requirements and input/output information obtained from the discovered Web Services. A study is considered involving a brokercum- dispatcher model which consists of a QoS broker-based scheme by a multi-class queuing model. We propose a new system that is an extension to the SSA to find appropriate web services according to consumer request based on matching of input/output information and QoS information of web services; then compose them according to consumer requirements through semantic web and ontologies. Keywords: Dispatcher Model, Semantic Web Services, Semantic Search Agents and Queuing.
Due to the insertion of semantics to the Web services, meeting user demands will be possible through logical deductions and achieving resolutions automatically. With the application of semantic description in content of Web services it is easier to discover and compose suitable Web services during analyzing, searching, and matching processes. We proposed a framework of an Inference-based Semantic Composition Agent (SCA) of atomic processes that employs process similarity matching and inference techniques. SCA synthesizes new services from existing ones in an automatic fashion. A powerful matching mechanism is needed to find fitting tasks in order to attain the required composition by each client. An innovative Semantic Matching Step (SMS) of SCA helps to find the fitting tasks while constituting workflow to achieve required composition. Additionally, SCA composes available OWL-S atomic processes utilizing Revised Armstrong’s Axioms (RAA) in inferring functional dependencies. Experiments show that SCA System produces atomic process sequences as a workflow in achieving the required composition plan that satisfies user’s requirements as a complex task. The novelty of the SCA System is that for the first time Armstrong’s Axioms are revised and used for semantic-based planning and inferencing of services.

In this article we focus on the essential requirements of a robot for semantically dealing with cooperative problem solving in a natural setting such as discovery of exit from a labyrinth. A very common application area for such robots are used as set of multi-agents at junctions in Traffic Management and Information Systems (TMIS) to manage the traffic and interact with ambulance or fire fighters to traverse the shortest possible path [18]. In order to present the above mentioned goal, a new modular architecture for design and implementation of cooperative labyrinth discovery robots (CLDRs) is presented. The labyrinth data structure (Maze Set) is represented in notation 3 format useful for semantic logic data processing purposes. This facilitates semantic web services on each CLDR (agent). Each agent is an autonomous system which acts based on its sensors and information retrieved from other agents. Our aim is creating robotic agents based on semantic web services and implementing autonomous semantic agents (ASAs). Numerous domains are likely application areas for multiple ASAs (MASAs), such as systems for distributed control, decision support, and financial market projection. Initial application area will be "Cooperative Labyrinth Discovery" where MASA robots cooperatively inspect an uncharted maze to discover its exits. Hence, context awareness, semantic understanding, near area communication, and friend/foe distinction make up upper value sets loaded upon "automaton" nature of a robotic ASA. We are aiming at effecting coordination and cooperation among MASAs towards succeeding a shared goal through semantic web theory and techniques.
