Abstract: As a consequence to the hype of Grid computing, such systems have seldom been designed using formal techniques. The complexity and rapidly growing demand around Grid technologies has favour the use of classical development techniques, resulting in no guidelines or rules and unstructured engineering processes. This paper advocates a formal approach to Grid applications development in an effort to contribute to the rigorous development of Grids software architectures. This approach addresses cross-platform ...

Lerner, K. Lee. "Afghanistan Withdrawal: Lack of responsibility and accountability made possible by partisan media. "Taking Bearings. Scholars at Harvard (OpenScholars). September 9., 2024
The Biden administration culpability for the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal extends far beyond mere “buck stops here” responsibility. His inept team made time and place certain decisions that created the chaos and conditions that left American soldiers dead and people who had been our allies to tortured lives and deaths at the hands of the Taliban. Typical of the Biden administration, there was never any accountability, just a spin campaign to try to fix the blame elsewhere. The present paper aims to study the iconography of the lost wall paintings that once decorated the temple walls in the Subashi East Monastery, one of the most prominent monasteries of the Kucha Kingdom. The only available record of these paintings is three photographs taken by the First Otani Expedition in 1903, which can be complemented by the diary and copy of the Brahmi inscriptions by the expedition member, Tesshin Watanabe. These valuable records make it possible to identify two narrative subjects once depicted in these wall paintings: Nanda visiting the hell and the ordination of Upali, both related to the narrative context of the ordination of the Sakya clan.
