The aim of this paper is to study investigates that the few Human Resource Development (HRD) factors influencing Job Satisfaction with special reference to BSNL, three different Secondary Switching Areas (SSA), the names of the SSAs are Trichy, Thanjavur and Madurai SSA. The Appraisal and Reward, Managing People, Industrial Relations and Performance Management are the few HRD factors influencing Job Satisfaction, which are mainly concerned with people at work and with their relationship within the organization. Job Satisfaction using by Job Descriptive Index (JDI) Scale among BSNL employees. The JDI scale included Work, Supervision, Pay, Promotions, and Co-worker. For conducting this research a sample of 300 employees taking in BSNL, three SSAs. To examine the level of HRD Practices associated with Job Satisfaction among BSNL employees. The aim of the study was to explore the impact of HRD Practices on Job Satisfaction. From the study, the researcher found that to sum up the few Human Resource Development factors of BSNL is accepted by its employees.
In the present era of globalization, business organizations are facing emerging challenges in form of acquisition, balancing, maintaining and optimization of human resource of an organization. With precious value and scarce capabilities, human resources are considered as a source of sustainable and highly competitive advantage in the organization. The success of an organization depends upon several elements and factors but the most important factor and elements that affects the organization performance is its employee and employers relationship. Human resources play an integral role in attaining an innovative and high-quality product/ service. This paper attempts to propose a conceptual framework relationship of five human resources management (HRM) practice like supervision, job training, and pay practices, job satisfaction, turnover, absenteeism and to explain and connect the relationships among these variables. Performances appraisal is an important tools to evaluate the job performance of a particular worker. A Job performance and productivity means employee performance relates to the production and productivity of a company that you have desired to get in. Job performances are significantly related with the job satisfaction, Job performances and Absenteeism and turnover. Job satisfaction is played an important role to employees' turnover and absenteeism because it would lead employee resigned, pre-retired from the organization when their job satisfaction level is low. The outcomes of HRM practice a positively and significantly correlated with job satisfaction. Job satisfaction retains the present employees and attracts the competent employees that relates to the higher productivity and organizational long-term performances. On the other hand HRM practice and job satisfaction are negatively correlated with Absenteeism and turnover. However, the results of HRM practice, Job performances and job satisfaction are strong predictors of Absenteeism and turnover.

It is important to recognize some of the behaviors that should not be carried out in the workplace. Absenteeism and employee turnover are two such behaviors persisting in organizations. Absenteeism and turnover in work place are complex phenomena that have significant implications for organizations and individuals alike. Absenteeism and attrition are withdrawal behaviors that can be defined as the tendency to withdraw from their place of work and keep psychological distance between the employees and their work place. India is the fastest growing telecom market in the world. The booming telecom industry has been attracting large amount of investments in the country. In Rajasthan the major telecom service providers are BSNL, Idea cellular, Vodafone, Tata Indicom, Airtel etc. Among them, except BSNL, all are private operators. In the case of land line and mobile connections put together, BSNL comes first. Absenteeism and turn over are common in all industrial sectors. However these phenomena in the telecom sector deserve special attention. The main objective of this study is to analyze the absenteeism and attrition among the telecom service providers both in Government and Private sector.
This study is conducted to examine the relationship between HRM practices and job satisfaction within white collar employees in a port in Johor. The HRM practices chosen are training and development, compensation and benefits and performance appraisal. Quantitative research was used and a survey was distributed to a port in Johor. The responses from the survey was tabulated using correlation and multiple regression analysis. The findings from this study is that there is positive relationship between the three HRM practices studied and job satisfaction among white collar employees in a port in Johor and the most contributing factor is compensation and benefits.
