The public-domain book is the most comprehensive scholarly overview of the immigrant integration in the Western countries. It evaluates integration of immigrants and their descendants depending on their cultural characteristics, such as religion or national origin. It assesses social, economic, and cultural integration. It covers such topics as immigrants’ income, employment, religiosity, values, delinquency, residence, or friendship and intermarriage with Westerners. It also analyses mutual attitudes between Westerners and immigrants (including discrimination), and the consequences of immigrant admission mode (e.g. work vs. refugee protection). Particular attention is devoted to Muslim immigrants. Geographically, the book covers Western Europe in general and major Western countries in more detail (the United States, Germany, Britain, and France, with others discussed in the appendix). The findings come from original research based on surveys and the summary of the relevant academic literature. The work concludes that immigration of some groups, particularly Muslims, has resulted in the emergence of permanent ethnic-like divisions in the West with negative consequences for social cohesion, support for welfare state, and public goods provision. The work completes with a short analysis of Western immigration policies and considerations for their change.

This year's SFSIA program, "Art, Apparatus and Neural-Digital Entanglement in Cognitive Capitalism," will map the history of artistic forms of resistance beginning with photography, through cinema, video, and other digital technics, in order to find clues on how to combat the threats that may result from new neural and brain-based technologies at our doorstep. We will throw a wide net around notions of the mind, brain and consciousness of our time, in order to capture the contemporary discourse and consider potential new forms of practical insurgency. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh variabel motivasi kerja (X1), kepuasan kerja (X2) dan komitmen organisasional (X3) terhadap kinerja pegawai (Y) dilingkungan Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Pati yang mencakup 9 bagian, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 312 orang. Sampel dilakukan secara Proporsional Random Sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel berdasarkan perbandingan. Peneliti memproporsionalkan jumlah populasi berdasarkan jumlah pegawai yang ada dimasing-masing Bagian dilingkungan Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Pati. Berdasarkan perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin jumlah sampel didapat sebanyak 76 orang dari 312 populasi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis (H1) yang menyatakan bahwa motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, dan hipotesis (H2) yang menyatakan bahwa kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja serta hipotesis (H3) yang menyatakan komitmen organisasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, diterima. Demikian juga hipotesis (H4) yang menyatakan bahwa motivasi, kepuasan, dan komitmen organisasional secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, juga diterima. Hasil pengujian ini dapat dimaknai bahwa pegawai yang memiliki motivasi dan kepuasan kerja yang tinggi, maka akan cenderung mempunyai kinerja yang tinggi terhadap organisasi.

Acetylene has emerged as a promising candidate due to its clean combustion characteristics and high energy density. This abstract outline the design and fabrication process of an acetylene fuel vehicle, focusing on its feasibility and performance. The design phase involves meticulous material selection to ensure compatibility with acetylene's properties while prioritizing safety measures. Key components such as the fuel storage system, combustion chamber, and propulsion system are engineered to maximize energy conversion efficiency and minimize emissions. Safety protocols for acetylene handling and storage are integrated into the design to mitigate risks associated with its high reactivity. Fabrication incorporates advanced manufacturing techniques like additive manufacturing and precision machining to create a robust vehicle prototype. The integration of selected components is optimized to enhance structural integrity and overall performance. Rigorous testing procedures are conducted to validate the vehicle's functionality, including performance metrics, emissions analysis, and safety evaluations. The outcomes of this study provide valuable insights into the feasibility of acetylene as a sustainable transportation fuel. The design and fabrication processes contribute to ongoing research efforts aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of the transportation sector. The results also offer a pathway for future developments in alternative fuel technologies, driving towards a more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient transportation ecosystem.
