Abstract. Our project can be divided to two major sections: Hardware and Software. Each part was fully designed and produced by the members in charge. In turn, the software section, can be divided into the:" Image processing, Network, AI, trajectory, controller, coding and transmission” subsections, each being programmed on Delphi, as separate modules and then implemented in the master project. The processing is distributed on four computers, networked with coaxial cables.

“Generation Flash” looks at the phenomenon of Flash graphics on the Web that attracted a lot of creative energy in the last few years. More than just a result of a particular software/hardware situation (low bandwidth leading to the use of vector graphics), Flash aesthetics exemplifies cultural sensibility of a new generation. This generation does not care if their work is called art or design. This generation is no longer is interested in “media critique” which preoccupied media artists of the last two decades; instead it is engaged in software critique. This generation writes its own software code to create their own cultural systems, instead of using samples of commercial media. The result is the new modernism of data visualizations, vector nets, pixel-thin grids and arrows: Bauhaus design in the service of information design. Instead the Baroque assault of commercial media, Flash generation serves us the modernist aesthetics and rationality of software. Information design is used as tool to make sense of reality while programming becomes a tool of empowerment.

Abstract When designing and developing simulations & animations for e-Learning purposes, basically two factors are essential: Interaction Design and Graphic Design. Both aspects are well addressed by using different Authoring Tools including the vector-based Flash technology. Although it has improved since its release, Flash still encourages superfluous animation and thus increases the likely hood of poor design.
Macromedia Flash is an authoring environment and file format for creating and deploying interactive media on the web. Flash files download quickly and play reliably on a variety of platforms. We discuss using the Flash scripting language, ActionScript, to develop interactive media that can be used on the web with no extra software on the client machine except the Flash plug-in. For example, we will demonstrate a script for collecting data from a video clip. Another example is a kinematics animation application that accepts instructor authored data from an XML file to set up the animation without need for access to the Flash authoring environment. We will discuss examples of interactive homework questions developed for the Humanized Physics Project using the Flash media.
