Managing dryland salinisation with an integrated expert system/geographic information system, S.D. Kirkby, University of Adelaide, 1995. For many years I enjoyed direct support from defence intelligence sources both in Australia and the US. This followed from my work on embedding knowledge in web documents, my best cited work and pioneering semantic web research. Since then I have developed an international profile in applied artificial intelligence and especially involved in the development of intelligent information systems that use formal concept analysis. Following a large grant from CSIRO’s ICT centre in 2010, I diversified into pervasive computing, connected mobility applications and intelligent transport systems. In Denmark I worked with procedural content generation (PCG) for games and in particular using evolutionary algorithms for generative music. My recent work is on the scalability of blockchain technology, and increasingly I am working with text analytics, topic modelling and deep learning and I also have interests in supply chains, blockchains and cybersecurity. I am a practice-based researcher, I build research and software prototypes and include commercialization and business development activity in the R&D life-cycle. I have been involved with many start-ups. In 1999, I founded a software company, Email Analysis Pty Ltd. In 2001, Email Analysis Pty Ltd was awarded a AUD$78,000 Commercialization of Emerging Technology grant from AusIndustry, pre-seed funding, and the company released its first product in October 2003. Email Analysis Pty Ltd was sold in November 2008 to Thorsol Pty Ltd which was itself trade sold to Azurn in 2010. In 2012 I 5 Curriculum Vitae Peter Werner Eklund was involved in a second start-up, Deitech Pty Ltd, which worked in real-time locationbased electricity-grid asset management. In Copenhagen I worked with a 3rd start-up in the blockchain arena, Dallr A/S. In 2020 a company called GenuTex was founded which uses blockchain and AI technologies to thwart pharmaceutical counterfeiters, I am a shareholder and on that company’s advisory board. I am shareholder and advisor to Copenhagen-based fintech start-up ZTLment A/S, also a blockchain-based company for managing B2B settlements in food supply chains. Details of Teaching Experience I have been active in University teaching for 36 years. I have taught a variety of ICT and business units at various levels, undergraduate, masters and PhD. From 2005-2010, I taught business units to MBA students at the Sydney Business School and quality-assured its DBA (Doctor of Business Administration). I also was involved in the delivery of the executive MBA at the Sydney Business School.
