He completed his Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University (summa cum laude) in 1972, a Masters in Arts from the Graduate College, Ohio University in 1973 and his Ph.D. from the prestigious College of Communication Studies at Ohio University in 1979. In addition, Barry has completed post-doctoral studies at Harvard, MIT, Columbia, the University of Michigan and the University of Southern California. Barry has been a college professor directing nearly 100 dissertations. For over 20 years he was a senior executive in three of the world’s most prestigious management consulting firms with a heavy emphasis on the health-care and biotechnology sectors. Barry has authored or co-authored over 100 publications in trade and academic journals and has been invited to write for several trade publications such as Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business Week, Boston Globe and AARP Magazine.
