The purpose of this paper is to stress the need to examine Al-based models and techniques in dealing with qualitative knowledge, information, and expertise in geostatisties. A model of artificially intelligent geostatistics is proposed as a general framework. The model focuses on the "Geostatistician," an abstraction of the "collective" knowledge and intelligence of the geostatisticians, be they theoreticians and/or practitioners. Dynamic aspects of the model are examined in the context of an explicit knowledge formalism, integrating geostatistical knowledge, symbolic non-algorithmic techniques for knowledge-information representation and inference, and standard numerical data processing. Two implementations of related computer systems are given together with case studies.

Promising new opportunities to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to the Earth and environmental sciences are identified, informed by an overview of current efforts in the community. Community input was collected at the first National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) workshop on “Leveraging AI in the Exploitation of Satellite Earth Observations and Numerical Weather Prediction” held in April 2019. This workshop brought together over 400 scientists, program managers, and leaders from the public, academic, and private sectors in order to enable experts involved in the development and adaptation of AI tools and applications to meet and exchange experiences with NOAA experts. The author etymologizes Persian language lexemes, presenting commonly used persisms in Bosnian onomastics. In particular, the etymology of the examples of persism presented refers to the vocabulary present in the Bosnian language, which makes it universally applicable. The Bosnian language is extremely rich in words from other languages, especially Oriental languages (Arabic, Turkish and Persian), hence the author devotes his work to lexemes that include adaptations and borrowings from the Persian language. In the first place, it was sought to determine for which persisms incorporated into the Bosnian language it is possible to determine the most thorough etymological sequence, and then to enrich the vocabulary of the Bosnian language with the etymological sequence represented by the persisms recorded in the languages of the Persian language family of Iranian languages.
