For the past 20 years, I am involved in studying and researching the ancient history of the world and the world's religions. As I was researching, writing, and publishing my work involving various unresolved topics, I ran into a "Chronological Disconnect" or "Dark Hole" of history that conventional narratives could not explain. Over three years ago, I stumbled into research papers and books published by Dr. Vedveer Arya and other writers and I realized that there is a chronological disconnect that can be explained by correctly deciphering several inscriptions that earlier historians had either misread or incorrectly interpreted. In addition to that, there are newly discovered Indus Valley sites and other archeological discoveries that take the dating of human civilization as far back as 8,000 to 11,000 BCE that was not considered in establishing common era chronology or its equivalency to other civilization's known chronology and native eras. This problem has resulted in arriving at the correct common era dating of great sages, conquerors, and kings of history.
Conference Registration: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/events/series/family-religion-and-the-polis-interaction-amalgamation-and-transformation-conference What do we mean when we define religion and ‘state’ in the ancient world? Take for example Sophocles’ Antigone, a play written in Athens in the 5th c BCE, at the hight of Athens Imperial aspirations. In the play, the eponymous heroine defies state orders and buries her brother Polynices. Her act of civil disobedience in performing a burial ritual against king Creon’s orders exemplifies an intersection between family ritual and that of the state; Antigone claims that she acted in accordance with divine law rather than man-made law. Sophocles’ Antigone reminds us that the intersection between family ritual was not always a smooth affair. It also addresses the issue that Greek ritual did not only belong in the realm of the state or the polis but also the family (genos) and the household (oikos). The aim of this conference is to explore how religion brought avenues of interaction between state and group/family in the Greek world from the Late Geometric to the Hellenistic periods. The goal is to understand religious practice as part of a greater picture of the relationship between groups/families and the state as evidenced by, but not limited to, burial ritual, cult instigation, site transformation, and ritual practice. Key elements at play are social, political, and economic factors and interests, which furthered the interconnection between the state and individual families via religious interactions. Group competition, elite antagonism, social control and gender/status division, or individual promotion could impact the relationship between the state and a group or family. Special focus will be placed on continuity and change of these developments through the Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic periods. Since 2016 our team has been developing non-invasive research methodologies applied to the study of large archaeological areas corresponding to ancient cities in Roman Hispania. The Roman colonies of Hasta Regia (Mesas de Asta, Jerez de la Frontera), Ilici (La Alcudia, Elche) and Libisosa (Lezuza, Albacete), and the Latin municipalities of Balsa (Luz de Tavira, Faro), Arva (Alcolea del Río) and Calduba (La Perdiz, Arcos de la Frontera) located in the Roman provinces of Baetica, Tarraconensis and Lusitania have been used as case studies presented in this paper (Figure 1). The cities in this each differ, offering a wide variety in terms of their topography, geography, current uses, and states of archaeological intervention and conservation. Furthermore, research at each of them has been approached with due consideration to these particular conditions, while experimenting with the workflow that was considered more appropriate to develop the non-invasive research and ensure the best results. This paper discusses the different conditions and problems during the entire research process and the strategies applied, as well as the most relevant results in each case study as part of the conclusions from this experience. The main techniques and tools used during this work have been Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), groundpenetrating radar (GPR), magnetometry, photogrammetry and terrestrial Lidar. Due to the number of sites studied, the period of the studies, the nature of the surfaces analysed, and the diversity of situations, this research experience is unique among other Spanish teams specialising in non-invasive techniques.
