Bryn Mawr Classical Review

A previously unpublished Attic black-figure neck amphora is attributed here to the Medea Group and dated ca. 530-520 BCE. It illustrates on Side A Apollo and Artemis framed between Poseidon and Hermes, and on Side B a scene of pederastic sexual intercourse (Beazley's Courting Type γ). The latter scene is placed in the context of 38 other examples of this type illustrated in Attic black-figure.
