Bu durum eczacıları oldukça zor durumda bırakmakta ve gelir- gider arasındaki dengeyi sağlamakta zorlanmaktadırlar. Eczacılar daha çok kar sağlayabilmek ve eczanesini ayakta tutabilmek için OTC ürünleri ve dermokozmetik ürünlerini satmaya yönelip daha çok kar sağlamayı hedeflemektedir. Bu ürünleri daha çok satabilmek ve kâr marjını artırabilmek için çeşitli pazarlama ve kampanya stratejileri eczacılar tarafından uygulanmaktadır. Bu tezde, bu OTC ve dermokozmetik tarzı ürünlerden nasıl en iyi şekilde kâr elde edebileceğimizi, hangi pazarlama ve kampanya stratejilerini uygulayarak daha çok verim sağlayabileceğimiz anlatılmaktadır.

Students in today’s society have become dependent on caffeine in order to perform at their best in multiple facets of their hectic lives, including classes, clubs, and internships. This qualitative-quantitative study focuses on the specific reasons how does different caffeine level in various caffeinated products related to the science academic performance of SHS students of Mina de Oro Catholic School. The study is conducted on 30 students of grade 12 St. Scholastica, randomly distributed to experimental group and control group. It has been found that the two variables have a significant relationship. It has also been found that Cola (t=-0.05; P<0.05), Coffee (t=-0.10; P<0.05) and Chocolate (t=-0.047; P<0.05) make significant differences in the effect of caffeine on science academic performance of Grade 12 students of Mina de Oro Catholic Schools. The results from the study indicate a very low correlation between the science academic performance and caffeine (C8H10N4O2) consumption of grade 12 students of Mina de Oro Catholic School, and different effect of caffeine varies on the caffeine content of a caffeinated products. The study also provides suggestions on possible actions to have a more precise and accurate result of the study.

Kaanga brew is a common illicit liquor from Meru county in Kenya. Popularity of this brew has been growing and is religiously passed down from one generation to the next. The substrates, preparation process and additives used in making it are unhygienic and toxic. As a result, numerous social and health effects have stemmed from its consumption. This study aimed at analyzing the health impacts arising from consumption of Kaanga brew in Meru county, Kenya. A cross-sectional design of study was employed. The research tools used included questionnaires, interviews and observations. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze and present the findings. The results indicated that popularity of this brew was mainly because it was cheaper than other alcoholic beverages. Its consumption was projected to continue for a long period, if strict intervention measures are not taken. The additives used, such as battery acid, methanol and dry cells were indeed toxic for human consumption. Several social effects which had public health effects (such as irresponsible sex activities), by extension were experienced from the consumers. Kaanga brew had significantly more chances (P > 0.05) of causing health effects compared to the other brews. Some of the direct health conditions arising from its consumption include loss of vision, memory and appetite, inflammation and regular stomach upsets. 80% of the respondents had witnessed or heard of a death case caused by the brew.

This paper deals with designing of miniature versions of Photo-spectroscopy and Massspectroscopy for the detection and analysis of solution samples with the help of a mechanized robotic arm. The proposed methodology is to design a light weight, minimal component yet efficient and accurate designs of the above mentioned spectroscopy techniques which can be mounted of movable Puma robotic arm having 6 degrees of freedom of operation for detection and analysis of sample solutions and COVID-19 samples. The approach involves the least minimal contact of the tester and the patient as the sample solution shall be sent as gargle solution directly to the laboratory for analysis. The lab oriented results generated by the spectroscopy techniques generated significant results in detecting the presence of the viral proteins in the samples. These designs when deployed at larger levels with further advancements can be very effective in carrying out multiple tests in a given period of time and help deliver quicker results of the tests performed. The design is a very flexible design that can be also implemented at household and domestic levels for general solution testing using photo spectrometer. An ideology of testing with bare minimum contact between the patient and the solution analyser, and produce accurate result can be developed from the research.

Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación que da cuenta de la relación entre el intento de suicidio y la micropolítica en jóvenes de una institución educativa del municipio de Chinchiná, Caldas, Colombia. El referente teórico se basa en las discusiones en torno a los conceptos de micropolítica y cuerpo. La fundamentación epistemológica y metodológica fue fenomenológica hermenéutica. Todo esto dio la posibilidad de que los jóvenes en sus narrativas autobiográficas relataran sus vidas y encontraran nuevas posibilidades de existencia. Se encontraron categorías como: el encuentro con el mundo, un mundo sin cuidado, la violencia sexual, el cuerpo como espacio de comunicación, la incertidumbre, entre otras. Se concluye la importancia de comprender los procesos de singularización de los jóvenes para interpretar los sentidos que le dan al cuerpo y su relación con la micropolítica; asimismo, cómo los jóvenes manifiestan su rechazo a la producción de subjetividad capitalista a través del intento de suicidio.
