舉凡世界主要文明,都自有其代代相傳的經典。「經」作為一種歷史概念,本身即代表著不同時代的觀念混合。尤其在經書的選編過程中,不但有各種後人對前代文獻的校勘、篩選、詮釋甚至誤讀,也滲入了各種國家、社會和學派的觀點。結合了原作的本意、每個世代的理解與注疏,層層疊疊,又藉經文融為一體。本書旨趣即在透過對《緇衣》篇不同版本的考釋,溯求文獻的原貌,並探究其演化、經化的歷史過程,以及成經後的演變。
