Enterprise Architecture Planning

The discipline of enterprise architecture (EA) seeks to generate alignment between an organization’s electronic information systems, human resources, business processes, workplace culture, mission and strategy, and external ecosystem in order to increase the organization’s ability to manage complexity, resolve internal conflicts, and adapt proactively to environmental change. In this text, an introduction to the definition, history, organizational role, objectives, benefits, mechanics, and popular implementations of enterprise architecture is presented. The historical shift from IT-centric to business-centric definitions of EA is reviewed, along with the difference between ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ approaches to EA. The unique organizational role of EA is highlighted by comparing it with other management disciplines and practices.

The creation of alignment is explored as the core mechanism by which EA achieves advantageous effects. Different kinds of alignment are defined, the history of EA as a generator of alignment is investigated, and EA’s relative effectiveness at creating different types of alignment is candidly assessed. Attention is given to the key dynamic by which alignment yields deeper integration of an organization’s structures, processes, and systems, which in turn grants the organization greater agility – which itself enhances the organization’s ability to implement rapid and strategically directed change. The types of tasks undertaken by enterprise architects are discussed, and a number of popular enterprise architecture frameworks are highlighted. A generic EA framework is then presented as a means of discussing elements such as architecture domains, building blocks, views, and landscapes that form the core of many EA frameworks. The role of modelling languages in documenting EA plans is also addressed.

In light of enterprise architecture’s strengths as a tool for managing the deployment of innovative forms of IT, it is suggested that by adopting EA initiatives of the sort described here, organizations may better position themselves to address the new social, economic, and operational realities presented by emerging ‘posthumanizing’ technologies such as those relating to social robotics, nanorobotics, artificial life, genetic engineering, neuroprosthetic augmentation, and virtual reality.

PT. TGN adalah sebuah perusahaan yang memiliki anak cabang perusahaan yang cukup kompleks dibidangnya. Perusahaan PT.TGN sendiri merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak pada bidang utama industri perkebunan kelapa sawit. Anak-anak perusahaan PT.TGN bergerak pada bidang bidang yang saling berbeda dengan topik kompleksitas yang cukup signifikan berbeda juga. Adapun anak-anak perusahaan PT.TGN diantaranya adalah Industri Perkebunan Minyak Kelapa Sawit TGN, Yayasan Pendidikan GNT, Perguruan Tinggi NGT, Rumah Sakit GTN, dan Industri Otomotif TGN. Didalam mengelola keseluruhan perusahaan sampai saat tulisan ini diperbuat PT. TGN masih memakai konsep secara manual dan menggunakan sistem informasi masing – masing anak perusahaan yang kemudian dibukukan menjadi satu unruk di audit bagian garis besarnya di induk perusahaan. Maka dari itu mengingat pesat nya perkembangan teknologi dan tuntutan persaingan pasar yang sangat mendesak akan waktu, sangat diperlukan bagi PT. TGN untuk menerapkan sistem enterprise guna mengintegrasikan keseluruhan anak perusahan kepada induk perusahaan yang saling terubung untuk memudahkan dalam mengelola dan mengatur perkembangan perusahaan.

PT. TGN is a company that has subsidiaries of companies that are quite complex in their field. PT.TGN company itself is a company engaged in the main field of oil palm plantation industry. PT.TGN subsidiaries are engaged in different fields with different complexity topics. The subsidiaries of PT.TGN include the Oil Palm Plantation Industry TGN, GNT Education Foundation, NGT College, GTN Hospital, and TGN Automotive Industry.

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat dapat dimanfaatkan dalam memberikan solusi serta membantu suatu organisasi dalam mencapai tujuan. Pemanfaatan ini dapat diterapkan pada berbagai bidang, salah satunya pada bidang pendidikan. Madrasah Diniyah 04 Tahunan merupakan salah satu sekolah yang berbasis pada pendidikan agama Islam dengan tujuan pendalaman ilmu agama serta pendidikan karakter. Dalam proses pengolahan data, pihak sekolah masih menggunakan alat bantu pencatatan berupa Ms. Excel dan beberapa masih dilakukan secara manual melalui kertas. Hal ini menjadikan pekerjaan kurang efisien dan efektif yang beresiko apabila terjadi kehilangan data. Dibutuhkan sebuah perencanaan Arsitektur yang dapat menggambarkan kebutuhan organisasi dalam menunjang pencapaian visi dan misi serta mendukung proses bisnis yang ada. Penerapan Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) pada Madrasah Diniyah akan menghasilkan analisis kebutuhan aplikasi dan teknologi yang dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam pengaplikasiannya. Selain itu penerapan Enterprise Architecture Planning juga dapat menghasilkan gambaran mengenai arsitektur data, aplikasi, dan teknologi yang dibutuhkan untuk mendukung pencapaian tujuan serta proses bisnis.

To support smart cities in aligning information technology (IT) and business strategies to achieve urban digitalization, this study aims to present an Enterprise Architecture Framework (EAF) to facilitate the digitalization of urban environments. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was employed to design a research model, and a mixed-mode methodology was employed. Quantitative data from survey questionnaires was used to gather data from practitioners in enterprises within Norway and Ireland that currently adopt Enterprise Architecture (EA) in a smart city project to empirically validate the developed EAF. Additionally, the developed EAF layers were validated through a qualitative focus group workshop with participants that utilize the developed EAF to provide digital services in smart cities. The findings suggest that the developed EAF can aid enterprises that provided digital services in identifying and assessing their digitalization initiatives and how EA benefits can be realized. Drawing on the TAM, the developed research model presents factors that influence practitioner's adoption of EA towards the digitalization of urban environments. More importantly, this study provides empirically validated research on EAF adoption which is scarce.

Koperasi Generasi Baru (New Generation Cooperatives) adalah jenis koperasi yang menjamin keamanan anggotanya dan memberi nilai lebih dalam pelayanan mereka.
Koperasi pada dasarnya adalah perusahaan nirlaba yang membutuhkan infrastruktur teknologi yang tidak murah. Maka masalah penelitian ini adalah: Apakah infrastruktur aplikasi Koperasi Generasi Baru dapat dirancang secara ekonomis?
Aplikasi Open Source dapat menjadi cara ekonomis untuk membangun infrastruktur suatu perusahaan. Aplikasi Open Source diperlukan untuk membangun infrastruktur teknologi
yang terjangkau. Maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: Merancang arsitektur aplikasi Koperasi Generasi Baru dengan Open Source. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah arsitektur aplikasi Open Source untuk Koperasi Generasi Baru dengan menggunakan metode Enterprise Architecture Planning.
Arsitektur Aplikasi Koperasi Generasi Baru menunjukkan integrasi antara struktur organisasi, fungsi bisnis, dan aplikasi, artinya organisasi ini dibentuk sesuai dengan aplikasi yang digunakan, dan sejalan dengan strategi bisnis mereka. Arsitektur Aplikasi ini dapat diterapkan pada alternatif aplikasi Open Source agar dapat menjadi infrastruktur yang lebih murah dengan pemetaan dan modifikasi yang tepat.

Manajemen aset merupakan hal terpenting dalam perusahaan. Proses manajemen aset yang tepat, dapat membuat aset yang dimiliki perusahaan lebih optimal. Dalam penelitian ini, Penulis membahas perancangan Enterprise Architecture (EA) manajemen aset yang dimiliki oleh PT Pembangkit Jawa Bali (PT PJB) dengan Zachman Framework. Ada 7 (tujuh) tahapan yang dilakukan perusahaan dalam manajemen aset yaitu tahapan pengumpulan data, inisialisasi perencanaan, melihat kondisi perusahaan, menganalisis hasil kondisi enterprise, membuat perencanaan arsitektur, membuat rencana implementasi, dan membuat portofolio aplikasi. Hasil penelitian adalah evaluasi blueprint arsitektur untuk diimplementasikan pada beberapa tahun di masa mendatang.

Health is one of the leading indicators of the prosperity of a nation. With advanced technological development and usage in Indonesia, it is expected to have a better health index. However, the health index of the population of Indonesia is still relatively low compared to other countries, being placed at 101 out of 149 countries. Few of the causes of the problem above are the lack of health education, delay in diagnosing/misdiagnosis, and inaccessible healthcare facilities. With the increasing popularity of telemedicine across the world and its nation, Indonesia could improve the healthcare and medical field with the said technology. In this paper, a framework is created and designed for an integrated mobile patient portal for practicing physicians and medical clinics for improving in sharing information in consultations. Furthermore, the application also is intended to help outpatients to make a consultation appointment and increasing outpatient's active engagement and knowledge of their health. This mobile application is expected to be implemented across the nation and to improve the health and medical aspect in Indonesia.

This paper explores the use of „process-related models‟ – such as Enterprise Architecture (EA) models – as non-ontological resources (NORs) in the Ontology Engineering (OE) trajectory. These models are commonly available in enterprise repositories in process-rich social domains (e.g., e-Government, finance, software engineering, manufacturing), and serve as valuable sources of consolidated knowledge. We focus on the role of EA models in supporting what we are naming here Early Ontology Engineering, comprising the phases of purpose and scope identification as well as the identification of functional requirements for creating domain ontologies. This is because these models characterize, among other aspects, the organizational context and the business motivations/goals. Cooperative is a legally incorporated business organization, that built collectively by their member, and aim to fulfill their needs. New version of Cooperative is called New Generation Cooperative (NGC) that has characters as: NGC may issue shares, individuals may hold higher levels of equity through purchase of share, and membership may be limited to shareholders.
Enterprise Architecture is the comprehensive conceptual design or blueprint of company and organization, which describes it’s the structures, function, and operations. The purpose of the research is to design the Enterprise Architecture for NGC. This NGC can be started as a low cost enterprise by implementing Open Business Model. The Open Business approach places value on transparency, stakeholder inclusion, and accountability. NGC Enterprise Architecture shall purpose the Technology part of Strategic Management, which can relate New Generation Cooperative, Enterprise Architecture, and Open Business Model.

Abstrak – Pusat Penelitian Tenaga Listrik dan Mekatronik (P2 TELIMEK) adalah salah satu satuan kerja di kedeputian bidang ilmu pengetahuan teknik pada Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI), yang bertugas melaksanakan penyiapan bahan perumusan kebijakan, penyesuaian pedoman, pemberian bimbingan teknis, penyusunan rencana dan program pelaksanaan penelitian bidang tenaga listrik dan mekatronik serta evaluasi dan penyusunan laporan. Pada proses bisnis untuk pengembangan dan pengelolaan inovasi penelitian, P2 TELIMEK-LIPI belum memiliki sistem informasi yang mengelola inovasi yang telah dilakukan atau sedang dikembangkan, sehingga peneliti berikutnya kurang mendapatkan informasi tentang penelitian apa saja yang sudah dilakukan atau yang sedang dikembangkan di P2 TELIMEK-LIPI dan informasi tentang pengelolaan inovasi tersebut tidak sepenuhnya terpantau langsung oleh kepala pusat penelitian. Selain itu pengembangan dan pengelolaan inovasi P2 TELIMEK-LIPI, infrastruktur aplikasi serta teknologi masih terbatas dan tidak adanya rancangan enterprise architecture yang menjabarkan kebutuhan data, aplikasi dan teknologi. Dalam proses perancangan enterprise architecture, metodologi yang dipakai adalah metodologi Enterprise Architecture Planning dan untuk framework dalam merancang arsitektur enterprise menggunakan pendekatan Zachman framework yang mencakup empat baris yakni scope, business model, system model dan technology model. Dan tiga kolom yakni data (what), function (how) dan network (where). Dari hasil perancangan enterprise architecture telah menghasilkan blueprint enterprise architecture, dimana blueprint tersebut telah menjabarkan kebutuhan data, aplikasi dan teknologi yang dapat diterapkan dan dijadikan pedoman pendukung pengembangan manajemen inovasi dan menghasilkan rekomendasi aplikasi dan roadmap rencana implementasi aplikasi, sebagai rekomendasi awal tahap implementasi sistem informasi yang dapat mendukung manajemen inovasi pada P2 TELIMEK-LIPI.
