FUZZY TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM

In this paper, we introduce Pentagonal fuzzy number and some basic arithmetic operations like addition; subtraction for Pentagonal fuzzy number .The aim of this paper is to find the Optimal Solution of an Fuzzy Transportation Problem whose quantities are Pentagonal fuzzy numbers. Finally a numerical example is given to verify this approach.

There are several algorithms, in literature, for obtaining the fuzzy optimal solution of fuzzy transportation problems (FTPs). To the best of the author's knowledge, in the history of mathematics, no one has been able to solve transportation problem (TP) under four different uncertain environment using single method in the past years. So, in this chapter, the author tried to categories the TP under four different environments and formulates the problem and utilizes the crisp numbers, triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs), and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TrFNs) to solve the TP. A new method, namely, PSK (P. Senthil Kumar) method for finding a fuzzy optimal solution to fuzzy transportation problem (FTP) is proposed. Practical usefulness of the PSK method over other existing methods is demonstrated with four different numerical examples. To illustrate the PSK method different types of FTP is solved by using the PSK method and the obtained results are discussed.

This paper deals with the transportation problem that
has fuzzy cost coefficient. In this paper the aim of work is to
introduce dual simplex method to solve transportation problem
with fuzzy objective functions. The fuzzy objective functions
have fuzzy demand and supply coefficients, which are
represented as fuzzy numbers. For this we are solving fuzzy
transportation problem by dual simplex method.

A fuzzy transportation problem (FTP) includes cost, supply and demand of transportation problems. Its numbers are fuzzy numbers. Fuzzy transportation problem works to reduce transportation cost of some commodities through a capacitate network. Present research paper points out a technique with an alpha cut, optimal solution for solving transportation problem. We suggest a technique to find the fuzzy optimal solution on scales of transportation problem and propose a new hexagonal representation of fuzzy numbers. In general, the comparison of balanced fuzzy transportation problem (BFTP) and unbalanced fuzzy transportation problem (UFTP) shows that the optimal transportation cost of UFTP is less than BFTP.

ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) Islam adalah disiplin yang terwujud sebagai representasi pengetahuan, etika, dan agama yang berkolaborasi pada aspek praktis-empiris, tidak terlepas pada pengembangan pengetahuan. Fuzzy numbers figuring indispensable roles in problems in decision making, analysis of data, and socioeconomics arrangement. Finding the Ranking of any fuzzy numbers is an inevitable step in many mathematical models. Many of the methods proposed, which produced the best solution to the transportation problems. This paper introduces a Proposed Ranking method applying the same we transform the fuzzy transportation problem to an exquisite valued one, subsequently into a new proposed process to uncover the fuzzy realistic solution. The numerical illustration demonstrates that the new projected method tender an awesome means for managing the transportation problems on fuzzy algorithms. In this paper, we consider the Fuzzy Transportation Problem (FTP) where cost, supply and demand are octagonal fuzzy numbers. It can be solved using Best Candidates Method and FTP can be converted into a crisp valued TP using the centroid ranking techniques.
