Fusion Lab was a two year curatorial framework of public facing exhibitions (2013-2015) led by Denise Callender at the University of Portsmouth’s Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) in Eldon Building in the City of Portsmouth.  The project was supported by an ACE Grants for Arts Award and HEIF funding, and successfully delivered its aims and objectives to inspire, to create impact, to offer public learning and discourse, to offer collaboration opportunities and to use language that is understood.

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na renesanční módu české šlechty. Ze zvolených českých šlechtických rodů jsem vybrala konkrétní portréty šlechticů a šlechtičen dle kterých budu zkoumat vývoj a ikonografii, případně politickou a náboženskou souvislost šlechtických šatů. Cílem této práce by mělo být zmapování vývoje české renesanční módy především druhé poloviny 16. století pomocí zkoumání portrétní malby. K této syntéze využiji srovnání se španělskými podobiznami, celkový význam portrétu, ikonografii, historii rodů a dostupné teorie vývoje renesanční módy. The history of libraries dates back 5000 years, from clay tablets in Mesopotamia to papyrus scrolls in Ancient Egypt. Aristotle taught how to run a library, and history’s greatest was founded in 300BCE Alexandria, a public library open to anyone with scholarly and literary qualifications. In Rome, library director was a stepping stone for ambitious public servants, and library workers were slaves and freedmen. The spread of Christianity and monasteries created inter-library loans, while the Renaissance, Gutenberg’s Press, and the rise of Universities contributed to the ongoing success of libraries. Through thousands of years, Librarian has been a valued and accessible career. Although positions in the traditional book- and shelf-based industry has experienced a contraction in recent years, 21st century gallery, library, archive and museum (GLAM) positions are set to expand the workforce. Many of these developments are reinforced by the responses from twelve current librarians who began their academic career with a Bachelor of Arts (BA).

Christian culture possesses spiritual and moral content and great artistic experience of mastering the world, which are the source of aesthetic enrichment of modern youth. The main means of artistic and aesthetic education of the personality is considered to be art, the origins of which are stored in cultural, artistic, religious traditions and evolve simultaneously with the development of civilization. Crisis phenomena in the spiritual life of society at the turn of XX th –XXI st centuries led to a general decrease in the level of culture in both learners and educators who did not always have time to fill the gap in the spiritual component of the education and upbringing. The purpose of the article consists in systematization of regional experience in the formation of Orthodox religious culture as the basis of artistic and aesthetic education of the young generation in the early XXI st century. The authors draw the conclusion that the main regional components, which contribute to the understanding of the religious culture fundamentals, are inherited in the thematic scientific research on Orthodox religious culture in Altai at the turn of XX th – XXI st centuries, in the study of collections of religious cultural heritage and art in the funds and exhibitions of the museums in the Altai, as well as in the analysis of exhibition practice as the concept of historical memory.

Panini's paintings of imaginary picture galleries: the Gallery of Cardinal Valenti Gonzaga at Hartford, and the three sets of Ancient Rome and Modern Rome at Boston and Stuttgart, in the Metropolitan Museum, and in the Louvre, painted for the Duc de Choiseul and Monsignor de Canillac, have been explained as descendants of the Dutch and Flemish genre of picture gallery picture, while at the same time as being inspired by real contemporary galleries, in particular the Galleria Colonna. This article explores Panini’s experience and understanding of the Baroque ‘galleria’, and concludes that his ideal picture galleries owe more to theatrical and pictorial modes of spatial construction.
