Over usage of natural resources for construction of buildings has caused many environmental problems. Hence mainstream requirements of building projects such as cost effectiveness and rapid construction should be achieved while ensuring that the impact on the environment is also minimum. In this context, it is beneficial to use recyclable or renewable materials as building elements. This paper describes a successful adoption of the combination of such systems in a rapid building construction project in Sri Lanka. The building envelope consists of two and three storey steel portal frames, walling system based on compressed straw panels, upper floor with precast concrete slab panels supported on a steel framework, and ceiling made from compressed straw panels. The successful application of these systems indicates the possibility to adopt them in the future for rapid, cost effective and sustainable building construction.

The design was followed up by using IS (Indian standard) codes for better output of design considerations. Here the hospital building was designed and analyzed for G+3 storey structure. Nowadays, the software techniques were highly involved in a construction field for quick and better accuracy of an analysis report to execute the given project successfully. The indoor environment of a mechanically ventilated hospital building controls infection rates as well as influences patients’ healing processes and overall medical outcomes. This review covers the scientific research that has assessed patients’ medical outcomes concerning at least one indoor environmental parameter related to building Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, such as indoor air temperature, relative humidity, and indoor air ventilation parameters. Research related to the naturally ventilated hospital buildings was outside the scope of this review article. After 1998, a total of 899 papers were identified that fit the inclusion criteria of this study. Of these, 176 papers have been included in this review to understand the relationship between the health outcomes of a patient and the indoor environment of a mechanically ventilated hospital building. The purpose of this literature review was to summarize how indoor environmental parameters related to mechanical ventilation systems of a hospital building are impacting patients. This review suggests that there is a need for future interdisciplinary collaborative research to quantify the optimum range for HVAC parameters considering airborne exposures and patients’ positive medical outcomes.

El modelo fue desarrollado, probado, validad y aplicado durante la ejecución del proyecto de construcción, con algunos elementos de ahorro y uso eficiente de energía, de la unidad médica especializada en salud mental UNEME, anexa al hospital general público de segundo nivel de atención en ciudad Chetumal, México. Empezó el 1 de junio del 2007 y conclujyó exitosamente el 1 de diciembre del 2007.
El sistema de control de gastos desarrollado durante el proyecto, ha sido incorporado a la carpeta-antologia VEN de apoyo al entrenamiento sobre el trabajo para la administración de proyectos en el campo de innovación tecnológica de ahorro y uso eficiente de energía.

Seismic analysis of any type of structure with different porch location is an significant contemplation while working in high earthquake prone areas. With the assistance of seismic analysis, the structure can be designed and constructed to withstand the high lateral movement of earth's crust during an earthquake. Porch location is very important for any tall structure not because it is good in appearance also good for structural loading point of view. In the innovative phase of tall structure the present job deals with the analysis, design of tall structure subjected to seismic load condition with different porch location. In adding up to the dead load and imposed load, the earthquake loads are applied to the structure and analysis of structure carried out. The design software has been used for design and analysis. In the present situation, a hospital building structure of G+12 and the analysis has been carried out for seismic zone III as per IS 1893-2016 by Response Spectrum Analysis. The assessment of results has been carried out for Displacement, Storey Shear, and Base Shear etc. The results are obtained and represented in the forms of graphs and tables for the seismic zone.

El modelo que se presenta ha sido construido, probado y validado en el caso de del primer bimestre de avance en las obras de rehabilitación de seis clinicas de atención primaria a la salud en la ciudad de tamaño intermedio de Chetumal, Quintana Roo, México.
El proyecto inició el 10 de junio del 2007 y el corte del primer bimestre ocurrió eal 6 de agosto del mismo año. Rehabilitaciones puntuales estaban siendo llevadas a cabo en los Centros de Salud Urbana (CSU) de Chetumal: CSU #1 Solidaridad, CSU #2 Heriberto Frías, CSU #3 Bugambilias, CSU #4 Aarón Merino, CSU #6 Guadalupe Victoria, CSU #7 Payo Obispo. La empresa contratada para la ejecución del paquete de obras, Visión EnerGtiK S. de R.L. MI (VEN), confeccionó un programa amigable que permite llevar control electrónico del grado de avance en cada frente y rubro autorizado.
