Resumo: Este artigo apresenta o estudo empírico e analítico sobre a aplicação da Governança de Tecnologia da Informação nas empresas onde atuam profissionalmente os estudantes do curso de especialização em Gestão Estratégica de Tecnologia da Informação do campus de Bragança Paulista do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo - IFSP. Quanto ao percurso metodológico, em um primeiro momento, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica com o propósito de fundamentação e contextualização do tema; em seguida, por meio de coleta de dados, o presente trabalho procurou identificar e analisar os resultados obtidos através do objeto de estudo. Para obtenção dos dados a serem analisados, utilizou-se um formulário com 27 questões fechadas, através da ferramenta Google Forms. O objeto de estudo foram as 23 empresas onde os respectivos alunos atuam, onde disponibilizaram a pesquisa aos seus gestores; visando construir, primeiramente, o perfil da empresa e do entrevistado e, em seguida, identificar as ferramentas de governança utilizadas nas empresas.

Abstract: This article presents the empirical and analytical study on the application of Information Technology Governance in companies where the students of the specialization course in Strategic Management of Information Technology of the Bragança Paulista campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology São Paulo - IFSP. As for the methodological course, at first, a bibliographic research was carried out with the purpose of foundation and contextualization of the theme; then, through data collection, the present work sought to identify and analyze the results obtained through the object of study. To obtain the data to be analyzed, a form with 27 closed questions was used, using the Google Forms tool. The study object was the 23 companies where the respective students act, where they made the research available to their managers; aiming to build, first, the profile of the company and the interviewee, and then identify the governance tools used in companies.

This paper discusses the factors of business change management in the context of transition from traditional to computerized business systems. The factors of change management are presented as firm's strategic characteristics in the context of the relationship between traditional and computerized business management. The purpose of the research is the systematization of strategic characteristics of business informatization, and ranking and positioning of strategic characteristics in the context of competitive relationship between traditional and computerized business management. The aim of the research is to systematize, select and summarize a number of strategic elements of business informatization to small number of features that can be grouped in common factors according to certain criteria. Interdependence of strategic characteristics was established following a factor analysis. This method was applied to real data obtained through business informatization questionnaires. During our study of strategic characteristics of business informatization we collected data from 41 large and medium-sized companies in Croatia in the period from 2011 to 2014. The study included 15 strategic characteristics of business systems that were considered in the context of the factors of change management. Factor analysis of the data was performed using SPSS 21.0, and systematized into five steps: 1. The first step was the reduction of the number of attributes and determining the initial results to extract factors. 2. The second step was defining the factor matrix after rotation of the factors. 3. The third step was the interpretation of the extracted factors. 4. The fourth step included testing for significance of results by determining the values of Cronbach's alpha coefficient. 5. The final fifth step was the post-optimal analysis. By sorting the factors into groups we focus on key areas of activity. We also discuss various approaches to strategic thinking in the context of business informatization when combined with different levels of competitiveness.
