In der vorliegenden Master-Arbeit wird sich der Verfasser mit der Institution der Feuerstiftung, respektive frommen Stiftung, im sasanidisch-zoroastrischen Iran vor der islamischen Eroberung auseinandersetzen.
Im Zentrum wird dabei die Einbettung der frommen Stiftungen in die Gesellschaft des antiken Iran mit seiner ausgeprägten Rechtsordnung und ihre religiöse Dimension in Bezug auf den Zoroastrismus des alten Irans stehen.

The collection of articles is based on the materials of the International Scientific Round Table “Pre-Islamic Near East: History, Religion, Culture” (Kyiv, December 10, 2020), which was organized by the A. Yu. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The collection includes articles on the problems of history, religion, culture, worldview, archeology, source studies and reception of the civilizations of the Ancient Near East. The publication is designed for specialists in oriental studies, historians, researchers in religion and culture studies, archaeologists, students and graduate students of the humanities and anyone interested in the history of the Ancient World.

The article is devoted to clarifying the meaning of the compounds ərəzatō.frašnəm and zaraniiō.vārəθman that are used in Yasht 10.112. They are hapax legomena for the Avestan lexicon corpus and contain as the first parts the name of the precious metals: ‘silver’ (ərəzata-) and ‘gold’ (zaraniia-). An unambiguous translation of these compounds does not exist. The most controversial is the translation of the second part of the first compound: frašna-/frasna-, in which the scholars see either a silver headdress or a silver weapon (spear or pike). In Iranian representations, Mithra embodied the sunshine and rays and was also associated with the transitions between night and day – sunrise and sunset (Yasht 6.5; 10.125, 142). In this regard, there are no sufficient grounds to discern in the ərəzatō.frašnəm and zaraniiō.vārəθmanəm compounds the military vocabulary. According to the authors, one should see in these epithets an indication of the color aspect of celestial body, which is expressed through comparison with ‘silver’ and ‘gold’. The arguments presented in the article give grounds to interpret the considered epithets of Mithra as designation of the radiance and brilliance of the sun and offer an understanding of his image as a deity having silver rays in the form of darts (Av. frašna-, Pehl. plš, *fraš) and surround/protection (aureole) made of a golden light. Based on this, authors offer translation for ərəzatō.frašnəm and zaraniiō.vārəθmanəm in Yasht 10.112 as ‘silver-darted, gold-surrounded’. Presumably, these qualities, reflected in the considered epithets, were visually embodied in the iconography of Mithra, where he is shown with a nimbus and pointed rays emanating from it, indicating its luminiferous emanations.

In the present article we have introduced the Iranologists and German cultural characters who have come to Iran from 1830 to 1979 and been effective for the development of cultural relations between two countries besides the presentation of history and culture of this land to the researchers and orient travelers. In order to achieve the purpose, we have enjoyed the first-hand sources (documents) as the primary materials in various parts of writing. The 60 unpublished documents of the this paper have been collected from “the archive of the ministry of foreign affairs of Iran; the library, museum and document center of Iran parliament and the national library and archives of Iran”; the very documents demonstrate not only the deep cultural relations between Iran and Germany, but also testify interest of German scholars for the discovery of various aspects of history and culture of Iran.

In der folgenden Arbeit werde ich mich dem Christentum an der Seidenstraße im Allgemeinen und dem Christentum der Sogder im Besonderen annähern.
Ich werde dazu zunächst die Nestorianer und ihre Form des Christentums erläutern; dann eine Ausführung zum Volk der Sogder machen, die u.a. das nestorianische Christentum übernahmen.

The article studies the names of two mythical fishes in the Avesta and their place in the ancient Iranian worldview. Each of the fishes in question is bestowed with a proper name and a constant epithet. The name of Vasi (Av. vāsī-) associates with the worship of the cosmogony elements. In Yasna 42.4, its epithet panchasadvar (Av. pancā.sadvarā-) means “that of fifty fins” or “that of fifty gates,” which presumably refers to the plates on the body of this mythical fish (similar to the Acipenser species). The description of the extraordinary size of Vaspanchasadvaran in Bundahishn (18.5–8) connotes its relation to the spatial worldview, which can functionally correspond to the image of a giant snake encircling the Universe. The name of the mythical Kara (Av. kara-) fish admits several etymologies, but it is highly probable that *kara- is a Uralic loan word from an early period of contacts between Indo-Iranian and Finno-Ugric tribes. The epithet of Kara, upāpa- ‘the one near the water,’ apart from its literal meaning, may also point to its habitat at the source of Ardvisur in the Sea of Frahvkard. In Avestan sources, the Kara fish is connected to the concept of vision; it inhabits the waters of the Rangha river (Yashts 14.28–33; 16.7) located in the north (Videvdat 1.19) and thus suggests tanathological associations. In Yasht 14, Verethragna girds Zarathushtra with the abilities to see underwater like the Kara fish, in darkness like a stallion, and at a distance like a vulture. This symbolically refers to the motive of Zarathushtra’s obtaining omniscience over the three different spheres of the natural world: water, earth, and air. Pahlavi sources also keep to Kara’s particular sensitivity and, at the same time, endow it with expressive eschatological functions (Bundahishn 18.1–6; Menog-i hrad 62.28–29). These features of the Kara fish were not borrowed from the Aramaic-Babylonian mythological tradition, being a result of the development of Iranian eschatological ideas.

It is often assumed that ancient Israel took over the concept of resurrection from ancient Iranian religion. This view is nevertheless not unchallenged, because the original Iranian sources for that concept are much later than the Biblical and Early Jewish texts. The paper wants to show that already Herodot (III 62-3-4) alludes to a Persian belief in resurrection. If this ancient Greek source shows, that the Persians of Achaemenid times believed in resurrection and that Non-Persian observers were aware of it, a taking over of the Iranian concept of  resurrection by the Jews is worthy of further consideration.

این کتاب که به مطالعه تطبیقی ایماژ آینه در اشعار دو شاعر معاصر زن، فروغ فرخزاد و سیلویا پلاث می پردازد، مبتنی بر پایان نامه دکترای نویسنده (دانشگاه آزاد برلین ۲۰۱۲) است.

نویسنده با توسل به معانی عمیق و گاه ضد و نقیضی که آینه در ادبیات زنانه دارد سعی در روشنتر کردن اشعار این دو شاعر معاصر دارد. او کوشیده است نشان دهد که چگونه این دو شاعر از ایماژ آینه به گونه ای زیرکانه برای درک، نقد و ابراز حالات و عواطف خود بهره جسته اند و بدین طریق نقشهایی قوی و به یادماندنی از وجود زنانه خود ترسیم کرده اند.

کتاب شامل مقدمه، سه فصل، نتیجه و پیوست است. مقدمه کتاب دربارۀ آینه در ادبیات زنانه است. آینه بار معنایی و ارزشی متفاوتی برای زنان و مردان دارد. از این رو نویسندگان زن و فمنیست های ادبی در مواجهه با ماهیت چند جانبه آینه واکنش های مختلفی بروز داده اند. آینه در برابر فردیت، تن، عاملیت، صدا و جهان بینی کسی که در مقابلش ایستاده، کنش های متقابلی نشان می دهد. گاه کاربرد آینه نشان از اسارت زن دارد، هنگامی که زن تا سرحد تصویری برای نگاه خیره و کام  یابی مردانه تنزل می یابد و پیچیدگیهای انسانی او نادیده گرفته و سرکوب می شود. زنان با درونی کردن این تصاویر، خود به آینه هایی برای مردان بدل می شوند تا تصاویر تحریف شده و دلخواه آنان را انعکاس دهند.

mirrors-sدر چنین محیطی، ظاهر و زیبایی از پیش تعریف شدۀ زن اهمیت فراوانی می یابد چرا که ظاهر او تعیین کنندۀ سرنوشتش است. برخی از شعراء و نویسندگان زن در آثارشان به شکستن چنین آینه هایی بر می خیزند. در مقابل، گاه آینه وسیله ای می شود برای زنان در جهت بازسازی، شناخت خود و دوستی با خویشتن خویش، و با ظاهر و جسمشان و نیز با دنیای اطراف. در ادبیات مدرن زنانه چنین آینه ایی ساخته و ترویج می شود.

در فصل اول اسطوره هایی که آینه درونمایۀ مرکزی آن را تشکیل داده و این اسطوره ها تأثیری شگرف بر فرهنگ و ادبیات غرب گذاشته اند، همچون اسطورۀ نارسیسوس و اِکو و مدوسا، بررسی شده است. به علاوه شاخص ترین نظریه های مرتبط با آینه و انعکاس در ادبیات، فلسفه و روانشناسی، از جمله نظریات زیگموند فروید، دونالد وینیکات و ژاک لاکان به طور خلاصه تشریح شده است. آنگاه خوانش های فمنیستی این اسطوره ها و نظریه ها از جمله در آثار لوس ایریگاری، هلن سیکسو، جودیت باتلر، جولیت میچل و الیزابت گراسز مورد تحلیل قرار گرفته است.

آینه علاوه بر ویژگی مکانی، ویژگی زمانی نیز دارد از این رو استعاره ای می شود برای بیان خاطره و خیال. آینه ابزاری برای نمایاندن ظاهر است، با این حال ویژگی روانی درونی نیز جزء لا ینفک آن است. شخص در برابر آن نه فقط با ظاهر خود، بلکه با تمامی احوالات گوناگون درون خود و همچنین با تمامی تصاویری که خود و یا محیطش از او و نوع او ساخته مواجه می شود. در حقیقت آینه آستانه ای می شود برای ورود به عوالم دیگر. ممکن است یوتوپیایی شود که در آن شخص تصویر ایده آل خود و آرزو های خود، حتی رسیدن به محبوب خود را در آن ببیند. گاه  هم صحن دادگاهی، و یا به قول پلات “اطاقهای مخوفی”، می شود که شخص خودهایش را بی رحمانه به محاکمه می کشد. زمان مندی آینه بدین مفهوم است که آینه نه تنها چگونگی شخص را در زمان حال می نمایاند، بلکه مقایسه ای با کیفیت تصاویر گذشته او و نیز طرحی از آینده او پیش رو می نهد. با ایستادن در مقابل آینه، گذشته، حال و آینده ما بر روی سطح آن احضار می شود که این حال اغلب یادآور پیری و تباهی است.

زمان دار بودن آینه به بحث دیگری در کتاب منجر شده است و آن جابه جایی تصویر مادران و فرزندان، به ویژه دختران است. ظاهر شدن تصویر مادر در آینه دختر، تصویری که در ادبیات زنان مکرر آمده، نه تنها اشاره ایست به پیری و مرگ، بلکه نشانگر کسب هویت مادر و تکرار داستان زندگی و سرنوشت مادر برای دختر است. این جابجایی تصویر در آینه غالبا برای دختر نامطلوب و دردناک است، چراکه یادآور یک عمر زدودن های دردناک تصویر خود در آینه و اتخاذ نقابهایی است که زن و زنانگی تعریف شده است. و در پایان این فصل، عملکرد یکسان آینه و متن از این حیث که هر دو ابزار نمادی فردی اند (subjective semiotic mode) مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. زنان اغلب از متن نه تنها به مثابۀ آینه ای برای بروز هویت و احوال خود، بلکه بعنوان محلی برای ساختن خود استفاده کرده اند. متن برای زنان فضایی فرهنگی فراهم می کند که در آن هویت و جنسیت زن با نقاب ها و تصاویر اجتماعی او وارد مذاکره می شود.

این مباحث تحلیلی مقدمه ای فراهم می کند برای فصل دوم و سوم کتاب که در آن نمونه های بهره گیری از ایماژ آینه در آثار دو شاعر معاصر زن بررسی شده است.  فروغ فرخزاد و سیلویا پلاث با کاربردهای استعاری آینه در سنت های ادبی خود به خوبی آشنا بوده اند با این حال به نحوی بدیع  آنها را برای نفی همان اصول و تعالیمی که این آینه ها قرن ها در قالب آنها معنا می یافتند به کار گرفته اند. بدین سان این بدعتها به آفرینش شعر مدرن انجامیده است.

نویسنده در نتیجه کتاب، آینه های اشعار فرخزاد و پلاث را در کنار هم چیده است و نشان می دهد که آنها به استثنای برخی تفاوتها، شباهتهای حیرت آوری با هم دارند. این نکته خود گواه دیگری است بر فراگیر بودن تجربیات زنانه و نمودگار تلاش مشابه این دو شاعر است که فرهنگ و ادبیات مردسالارانه را برنمی تافتند و به جای انعکاس القائات این فرهنگ می کوشیدند تصویر و صدای اصیل خود را کشف کنند و بروز دهند. برای هر دو شاعر متن-آینه، فضایی یا پنجره ای پیش رو قرار می دهد، که در آن حاضر با غایب، وجود با نمود، درون با بیرون، خصوصی با عمومی، درون نگری با تقلید، حقیقی با تخیلی، و بالاخره حال با گذشته و آینده وارد مناظره و مناقشه می شود.

در پیوست کتاب آن دسته از اشعار فرخزاد که در فصل دوم بخش هایی از آن به طور گزینشی بررسی شده به صورت کامل نقل و  به انگلیسی ترجمه شده است. ترجمه برخی از این اشعار برای نخستین بار صورت گرفته است.
