Experimental results for the separation of R,Someprazole enantiomers obtained on preparative columns packed with amylose tris(3,5dimethylphenylcarbamate) chiral stationary phase are presented. The total porosity was measured by using the non-retained compound 1,3,5-Tri-tertbutylbenzene. The efficiency of columns was characterized by the height equivalent to a theoretical plate (HETP) and a linear dependency has been found over tested flow rates. The HETP dependence on the mobile phase was determined to acquire the equilibrium and kinetics data of adsorption of racemic mixture of omeprazole. The retention factors and selectivity factors for the enantiomers of the omeprazole decreased with increasing temperature. Proteomic exploration of the effects of psychotropic drugs on specific brain areas in rodents has the potential to uncover novel molecular networks and pathways affected by psychotropic medications, and may inform etiologic hypotheses on mental disorders. Haloperidol, a widely used first‐generation antipsychotic, has been shown to produce structural and functional changes of the hippocampus, a brain region also implicated in the neuropathology of disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Seven adult male C57BL/6 mice were injected daily intraperitoneally with 0.5 mg/kg of haloperidol, for 28 days. A control group of six animals was injected with vehicle only (saline). A sensitive and reproducible chromatographic method was developed and validated for the quantification of doxycycline hydrochloride in veterinary product – Doxycyclinum 50%. The analysis was performed on HPLC (Shimadzu) apparatus with diode array detector. The separation was provided with C18 column (4.6mm×100 mm, 3 μm particle size) at mobile phase flow rate 1ml/min and detection at 254 nm. The method was tested in the range 50-150% nominal DOXY concentration resulting good linearity with correlation coefficient r=0.9999. The estimated LOD and LOQ elaborated method amounted to 0.46 and 1.55 mg/L. The recovery values were from 99.70 to 100.9% with RSD 0.78%. The structural integrity of precast concrete structures mainly depends on the connections between the precast structural elements. The purpose of a connection is to transfer loads, restrain movement, and/or to provide stability to a component or an entire structure. Therefore, the design of connections is one of the most important aspects in the design of precast concrete structures. All the connections should be designed according to the valid codes. All precasters have developed connection details over the years that suit their particular production and erection preferences. Mechanical forces induced by bending are able to trigger an asymmetrical response in Populus nigra L. woody taproots. This response includes the recruitment of new lateral roots on the convex side and the deposition of reaction wood (RW) on the opposite concave side. Since these responses seem to be induced by asymmetric activity and differentiation of cambium cells, we investigated, in the present work, how mechanical forces could influence the activation of specific phytohormone signaling pathways on the two sides of the vascular cambium. Thus, distinctive tissues were isolated from convex and concave sides of bent poplar root using cryosectioning. Successively, the isolated tissues, represented by the cambial zone, and the developing phloem and xylem, were analyzed using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry to profile auxins, abscisic acid (ABA), cytokinins (CKs) and their metabolites. The plant genus Cannabis is a prolific producer of unique pharmaceutically relevant metabolites, commonly referred to as cannabinoids. Robust and standardised methods for the quantification of cannabinoids within botanical and drug forms is a critical step forward for an emerging Cannabis-based pharmaceutical industry, which is poised for rapid expansion. Despite a growing body of analytical methods for the quantification of cannabinoids, few have been validated using internationally accredited guidelines. Moreover, standardised methods have yet to be developed for application at various stages of manufacture as well as for different levels of processing and refinement. This research presents the modeling of the anaerobic digestion of cane-molasses vinasse, hereby extending the Anaerobic Digestion Model No. 1 with sulfate reduction for a very high strength and sulfate rich wastewater. Based on a sensitivity analysis, four parameters of the original ADM1 and all sulfate reduction parameters were calibrated. Although some deviations were observed between model predictions and experimental values, it was shown that sulfates, total aqueous sulfide, free sulfides, methane, carbon dioxide and sulfide in the gas phase, gas flow, propionic and acetic acids, chemical oxygen demand (COD), and pH were accurately predicted during model validation. The model showed high (±10%) to medium (10%-30%) accuracy predictions with a mean absolute relative error ranging from 1% to 26%, and was able to predict failure of methanogenesis and sulfidogenesis when the sulfate loading rate increased. The Schiff base LH3 obtained by condensation of 3‐formyl‐4‐hydroxyphenyl‐3,4,5‐tris(tetradecyloxy)benzoate with 1,3‐diamino‐2‐propanol reacts with lanthanide(III) acetate salts to form dinuclear complexes of the type Ln2L2 with the trivalent ions from the first half of the lanthanide series (Ln = Nd, Sm, Gd). Background: With regard to contact allergy, the dose of a sensitizer per unit skin area is an important factor for both sensitization and elicitation, and therefore a known amount/volume of test preparation should be applied at patch testing. Objectives: To compare three different techniques for the application of aqueous solutions to Finn Chambers, in order to determine the precision and accuracy of each technique when the recommended 15 µl volume is applied. Methods: Four technicians applied formaldehyde 1.0% aq. (wt/vol) and methylchloroisothiazolinone/methylisothiazolinone 200 ppm (wt/vol) in sets of 10 onto Finn Chambers, with three different techniques: (i) micro‐pipetting; (ii) dripping the solutions; and (iii) dripping the solutions followed by removal of excess solution with a soft tissue. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are microporous materials with huge potential as host structures for chemical processes, including retention, catalytic reaction, or separation of guest molecules. Structural collapse at high-pressure, and unusual behaviours at elevated temperatures, such as melting and transitions to liquid states, have recently been observed in the family. Here, we show that the effect of the application of simultaneous high-pressure and -temperature on a MOF can be understood in terms of silicate analogues, with crystalline, amorphous and liquid states occurring across the pressure - temperature phase diagram. The response of ZIF-62, the MOF on which we focus, to simultaneous pressure and temperature reveals a complex behaviour with distinct high- and low- density amorphous phases occurring over different regions of the pressure-temperature space. The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) is the next generation ground-based observatory for gamma-ray astronomy at very-high energies. Employing more than 100 (north and south sites) Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes in the northern and southern hemispheres, it was designed to reach unprecedented sensitivity and energy resolution. Understanding and correcting for systematic biases on the absolute energy scale and instrument response functions will be a cru- cial issue for the performance of CTA. The Montpellier group and the Spanish/Italian/Slovenian collaboration are currently building two Raman LIDAR prototypes for the online atmospheric cal- ibration along the line-of-sight of the CTA.
