Evaluación de dietas artificiales sobre la fecundidad y longevidad del depredador Chrysoperla externa (Hagen, 1861) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto de diferentes dietas artificiales sobre la fecundidad y longevidad de adultos de Chrysoperla externa (Hagen, 1861) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) en condiciones de laboratorio en Ucayali, con el fin de encontrar una dieta artificial más económica y eficiente para su crianza masiva. Se probaron tres dietas: azúcar rubia + miel de abeja + polen, harina de maca + miel de abeja + polen y leche en polvo + miel de abeja + polen, en comparación con la dieta estándar (levadura de cerveza + miel de abeja + polen), realizándose un Diseño Completamente al Azar (DCA) con catorce repeticiones por cada dieta. Los parámetros evaluados fueron capacidad de oviposición, viabilidad de huevos y longevidad de adultos, durante la primera generación. Los resultados revelaron que la dieta a base de leche en polvo + miel de abeja + polen obtuvo valores mayores y similares a la dieta estándar en los tres parámetros evaluados. Por lo tanto, se concluye que esta dieta podría ser utilizada para la producción masiva de C. externa. Palabra clave: dieta artificial, capacidad de oviposición, viabilidad, longevidad.

Selección de plantas promisorias de camu camu (Myrciaria dubia (Kunth) Mcvaugh) de la estación experimental del -IIAP-Ucayali

Camu camu is a fruit native the Amazon, which is notable for the high content of vitamin C (3253.13 mg/100 g pulp), is in the process of domestication, so being selected mother plants to significantly advance in the process of genetic improvement of the species. The objective was evaluate and select promising camu camu plants of a genetic basis for 275 hits installed in EE-IIAP Ucayali, based on fruit yield (kg plant-1). After 3 years of evaluation selected plants correspond to codes E3-F13; E3-F10; E3-F11; 3B-F1; E3-F7; E3-F14; E3-F8; 3B-F5; E3-F12; P1-F25, no clutch plant that stood out was the E3-F13 with 16.5 kg. Plant-1 on average, no clutch the plants E3-F13; E3-F10; E3-F11; 3B- F1 and E3-F7, showed statistically significant differences (P <0,05) compared to the other codes, with a yield of 14 kg of fruit on average These results are very encouraging as it will allow us to have a garden clonal multiplication of selected material to meet the demand for seedlings for future planting in the Ucayali Region.

Biological cycle and morphology of the hoverfly Hybobathus (Ocyptamus) persimilis Curran, 1930 (Diptera: Syrphidae) under laboratory conditions in Pucallpa, Peru.

The objective of the study was to determine the duration of the biological cycle of Hybobathus persimilis, in laboratory conditions (27 ± 2 ° C, 72 ± 5% RH and 12:12 h photoperiod) in Pucallpa, Ucayali, Peru. The biology of the species was followed by recording the duration of the incubation, larval, and pupal periods and the longevity of adults, likewise their different stages of development were morphologically characterized. As a result, it was obtained that the duration of the incubation period was between 0,8 to 1,8 days, with a hatching percentage of 42%; the larval stage was between 15,9 to 19 days; of the pupal period was between 5,9 to 7,2 days and the longevity of the adult was between 8 to 10,1 days. The egg is milky white, elongated and oval, measures on average 1.03 mm, the larva is transparent white, muscidiform, they pass through three larval stages that measure on average 2.96 mm in larva I; 5.97 mm in larva II; and 8.96 mm in larva III; the pupa is white, piriform, measures 7.14 mm on average; and the adults present sexual dimorphism, where the female and the male measure on average 13.68 and 13.04 mm, respectively.. It is concluded that the duration of its biological cycle fluctuates between 30,6 to 38,1 (34.5) days

Efecto de la altura de poda de formación en la arquitectura de plantas de camu camu (Myrciaria dubia H.B.K. Mc Vaugh) en la estación experimental del IIAP, Ucayali, Perú.

In order to evaluate the response camu camu’s plants in plantations initial undergoing training pruning, an experiment was installed in EE - IIAP-Ucayali, under a design randomized complete block, with 3 replications, making use of 20 plants per experimental unit. The pruning treatments were performing at different heights from the base of the stem, it was considered T0 [witness without pruning], T1 [pruning to 10 cm from the base], T2 [pruning to 20 cm from the base] and T3 [pruning to 40 cm from the base] in plants of known provenance. The investigation was directed to evaluate the number of shoots, shoot growth, plant height, basal diameter, crown diameter and number of branches. After of 9 months of evaluation was found significant differences between the variables except in top diameter. In the variable Height, treatment T0 [witness without pruning] outstanding because they were not pruned, among the remaining treatments has similarly behaved, surpassing the control treatment by 267 %. In addition to this, the basal diameter was found that T1 [pruning to 10 cm from the base] has a better performed with an average value of 1.96 cm compared with the control (1.7cm). The pruning had a positive influence in the number of branches, with an average of 13.4 branches compared with T0 that get 3.1 branches on average, its shows that the pruning can increased up the production of branches to 432.3%.

Capacidad de enraizamiento de plantas matrices promisorias de Myrciaria dubia (Kunth) Mc Vaugh en cámaras de subirrigación

Camu camu es una fruta nativa de la Amazonía, que llama la atención por el alto contenido de vitamina C (6,116 mg/
100 g de pulpa), está en proceso de domesticación, por lo cual se está investigando un método de propagación
vegetativa que permita avanzar en el proceso de mejoramiento genético. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la
capacidad rizogénica de plantas matrices promisorias de camu camu “Myrciaria dubia (Kunth) McVaugh” según el
aumento del número de hojas, mediante la técnica de estacas herbáceas en cámaras de subirrigación. El ensayo fue
conducido mediante un Diseño de Bloques Completamente al Azar (DBCA) con arreglo factorial 9Ax3B, con 3
repeticiones y 15 estacas por unidad experimental. El factor A, estuvo constituido por nueve plantas matrices y el
factor B: pares de hojas con 3 niveles: 1; 2 y 3 pares. El enraizamiento fue evaluado después de 90 días. Se observó que
existió interacción estadística significativa para las variables: porcentaje de enraizamiento, longitud y número de
raíces. Para las variables porcentaje de callo y porcentaje de mortalidad se encontró efecto de la planta matriz y pares
de hojas. Los resultados muestran que el porcentaje de enraizamiento estuvo influenciado por efectos intrínsecos
adherentes a la variabilidad genotípica de las plantas matrices, presentando un alto grado de dispersión, que osciló
entre 91,11 % y 0,00 %, mostrando una alta variabilidad y marcada influencia de la planta matriz sobre el proceso de
rizogénesis, influyendo de manera altamente significativa en el enraizamiento. Con respecto al área foliar, estacas con
2 y 3 pares de hojas, independiente de la planta matriz, presentaron mayor capacidad de enraizamiento. Con base en
estos resultados se concluye que el efecto de la variabilidad genotípica y el área foliar influyen de manera altamente
significativa en el proceso de rizogénesis de estacas herbáceas de camu camu.

Ocurrencia de parasitismo en ninfas de Tuthillia cognata (Hemiptera: Psyllidae) en Camu-Camu cultivado en Yarinacocha, Perú

The objective of this research was to identify the parasitoids of nymphs of Tuthillia cognata and to evaluate their percentage of natural parasitism in camu camu cultivated in Yarinacocha, Ucayali, Peru. Shoot samplings were carried out monthly to obtain T. cognata nymphs in the penultimate and last stage of development, during January to December 2018. Shoots of the lower third, middle and upper were selected from 50 plants chosen at random and then the samples were transferred to the laboratory, where they were kept at 28±1°C, 78±2% relative humidity and photoperiod 12:12h (L:O) until the emergence of the parasitoids. Of the total of 167 emerged adult microwasps, 61,68% (103 individuals) were represented by Psyllaephagus sp. and 38.32% (64 individuals) by Signiphora sp. (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Signiphoridae). Signiphora sp. reached more than 40% parasitism but it was only found during one month and Psyllaephagus sp. reached lower levels of parasitism but they were reported during almost every month except in the months without rain (dry season). It is important to highlight that these two identified parasitoids are part of the new registry of natural enemies of T. cognata in the cultivation of camu camu.
