Սույն հոդվածով առաջին անգամ ներկայացվում են Մեծ եղեռնի տարիներին Արեւմտահայաստանից՝ մասնավորապես Վասպուրական ու Տարոն աշխարհների գրչակենտրոններից (Աղթամարի սբ. Խաչ, Վարագա վանք, Լիմ, Կտուց անապատներ, Տարոն աշխարհի սբ. Առաքելոց, սբ. Կարապետ վանքեր եւ այլն) հայերեն ձեռագրերի հետ կորստից փրկված եւ Մայր Աթոռ Սբ. Էջմիածնի Մատենադարանում, ապա տարիներ անց ՄՄ անվան Մատենադարանում հանգրվանած 34 արաբատառ ձեռագրերը եւ 1 վիմատիպ գիրքը: В статье представлены 34 рукописи, написанные арабским шрифтом и спасенные во времена геноцида армян в Османской империи вместе с армянскими рукописями из хранилищ Западной Армении и собранных в Матенадаране Эчмиадзинского Святого Престола. через много лет эти рукописи, вместе со всей коллекцией Святого Престола, стали собственностью Матенадарана, Института древних рукописей имени М. Маштоца.

This article is discussed cannon casting activities in the Erzurum Arsenal, which is one of the most important cannon foundry of the Ottoman Empire. Firstly, the Erzurum Arsenal when was established and for what purpose, is described. Since the mid-seventeenth century
due to the lack of available building, it was directed to a larger facility and in this context, Çifte Minareli Medrese was converted an arsenal. Ottoman state during his campaigns against Iran, the extent to which benefited, casted in the Erzurum Arsenal, is described in detail. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, Ottoman Empire was trying to take new measures against the enemies that appear on the eastern border of Russia and this one has tried to reveal the role of the Erzurum Arsenal. The new cannon foundry technology in Europe was adopted on
Erzurum Arsenal and that the problems encountered are discussed in detail.

In this study, the life story of Frederick William Taylor, who was an English engineer sent by the British Government to Istanbul in accordance with the attempts to establish a modern industry in the Ottoman State, and who spent remaining of his life in Istanbul except for a few journeys to England will be examined. Taylor, who was a young engineer when he came to Istanbul, personally witnessed the attempts to modernize the native industry. Apart from being a civil engineer, he also had the knowledge of iron casting, machine manufacturing and installation, as well as a foundry master and mechanical engineer in casting and mechanics, as he earned work experience in a factory that manufactures steam engines. At the same time, Taylor was an expert architect in the newly developing field of modern industrial architecture in Europe. These qualities made him a preeminent figure for the reformation of the Ottoman industry in the eyes of statesmen and the military men of the Tanzimat Era. He left a trace in modernization of many state factories, most particularly the Tersâne-i Âmire (Imperial Naval Arsenal/Shipyard) and Tophâne-i Âmire (Imperial Arsenal). The purpose of this article is to illuminate the unknown sides of Taylor's life story who put his signature under important projects and had greater importance than an ordinary European expert, and thus to shed light on, even to some extent, occurents in the Ottoman industry, which was under a modernization process at the time.

Daha çok edebî kişiliğiyle tanınan Behiştî’nin ilk sekiz Osmanlı padişahının devirlerini anlatan Vâridât-ı Sübhânî ve Fütûhât-ı Osmânî adını verdiği tarih eserinin bilinen nüshalarından birisi Londra British Museum’da bulunmaktadır. Bu nüsha, Yıldırım Bayezid’den Fatih’e kadar olan dört Osmanlı padişahının dönemini içermektedir. Eserin II. Bayezid devrine ait metninin bir nüshası ise Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi’nde yer almaktadır. Behiştî Tarihi’nin bu bölümleri II. cilt olarak Türk Tarih Kurumu Yayınları arasında neşredilmiştir.
Bununla birlikte bugüne kadar Behiştî’nin eserinin ilk üç Osmanlı padişahının (Osman Gazi, Orhan Gazi, I. Murad) tarihî vakalarını anlatan kısmının herhangi bir yazması bilinmemekteydi ve bu sebeple çalışmalarda bu eserin başının noksan olduğundan bahsediliyordu. Nihayet İstanbul Araştırmaları Enstitüsü’nde metnin eksik olan ilk kısmına ait nüsha da tespit edilmiş ve bu yazmanın incelendiği elinizdeki çalışmayla eser tamamlanmıştır.
“TÂRÎH-İ BEHİŞTÎ Vâridât-ı Sübhânî ve Fütûhât-ı Osmânî (686-791/ 1288-1389) I” olarak isimlendirilen bu çalışmada Behiştî’nin hayatı ve diğer eserlerine dair malumat verilmesine gerek duyulmamıştır. Nitekim bahsi geçen ve neşredilen II. ciltte bu bilgiler ayrıntılı olarak anlatılmaktadır. Bu sebeple çalışmada eserin nüshası tanıtılmış, muhtevası, kaynakları ve kaynak değeri vs. üzerinde durulmuş, metnin literatüre kazandırılması amaçlanmıştır.
