The present-day structures are being made with the use of a number of different building materials with varying strength properties that govern their mechanical strength and correspondingly their durability and life. There are a number of techniques available to determine the compressive strength of these materials. However, use of an artificial neural network provides a non-destructive way to predict the compressive strength of the same. In the present study, the compressive strength of concretes prepared with two different cement types i.e. PPC and PSC with manufactured sand and natural sand as aggregate for four different water-cement (w/c) ratios have been undertaken using an artificial neural network (ANN). The predicted strength was compared with that obtained in the laboratory for the same.

The work undertaken in this article concerns the description of the propagation modes of an incident electromagnetic wave of wavelength λ (the visible spectrum) to its interaction with a structure typical metal / dielectric. The study of this interaction process is the measurement of features that are four parameters associated with longitudinal modes propagating interface. A comparative study between two structures silver and copper has been established. The characteristic parameters whose behavior is studied in the visible spectrum are the propagation length, and the length of penetration in rural and dielectric material. The typical structure of Kretschmann-Raether being used for the diagnosis of structure, analytical study shows that copper can be used as a guide for photonic transmission. The direction of propagation, the electromagnetic field associated with the interface modes present evanescent spatial coherence with which the behavior is justified by a study of the near field. For this, we have given some results on the density of states of plasmonic modes on a copper-air interface.

The System monitors the sleep position and skin conductance
(indicator to patient's calm) of the patients in real time with
alarm for each abnormal case in the base station (BS) and
lobbies, and sends SMS alarm to doctor's phone, and it
follows-up patient's glucose rate and diagnosis the patient's
electromyography status. Moreover, it sends the glucose data
to doctor's phone and uploads it to the special web site by
using the GSM and Internet technologies. In addition, it
introduces a printed hard copy medical report. Moreover, the
system stores the patient information and his health data in
order to use it for any archiving process or statistical study.
In the achievement system, three nodes are considered
according to the facilities available but it stays monitor /
diagnosis for an open node number. The system is
implemented practically and applied for some persons under
supervision of the specialist physicians, and the results
obtained are very satisfied and present a great service to
human care. All obtained results are presented in this paper.

Diplomová práce se zabývá sporem o osud Víceúčelové sportovní haly ve Frýdku Místku a snaží se pomocí konstruktivistické teorie sítí-aktérů vysvětlit, co vedlo k její demolici a (budoucí) výstavbě nákupního centra a nové haly na jejím místě. Jedná se o případovou studii postavenou na polo-strukturovaných rozhovorech a analýze dokumentů, které byly v tomto sporu vyprodukovány. Práce skrze analýzu aktérů-sítí ukazuje, jakou roli v případu sehrála městská společnost a partnerství veřejného a soukromého sektoru – pravidla, která tyto okolnosti nastavily, demolici staré budovy nepoddajně upevnily. Sledováním nově vznikajícího projektu na novou hokejovou halu lze také dobře vidět, jak se proměňují vlastnosti staré haly podle kritérií, která jsou během procesu upevňována. Poslední část práce ukazuje, jak jsou strategie oponentů demolice a míra jejich úspěšnosti formovány tím, jaké pozice tito aktéři ve sporu zastávají a jaké spojence se jim daří na svou stranu získávat.
