Bread is one of the main staple foods for the centuries, has played an important role in many nations’ history. In many cultures bread was regarded as a holy commodity for centuries. In parallel with many cultures and other cultures, bread in Russian folklore has also a unique place and represents abundance, prosperity and wealth. This article is devoted to the study of the cultural concept of bread in Russian folklore texts. Purpose of work: 1) to show the Central nature of the concept of bread in the conceptosphere of the Russian language; 2) to study peculiarities of linguistic realization of the cultural concept bread in Russian folklore texts and 3) to present a cultural interpretation of the concept in modern linguistics. The figurative components were explanations, grammatical translation dictionaries, linguistic and cultural descriptions such as Russian proverbs, words, phraseology, and signs related to the concept of bread. Research methods used in the work were observation, description, semantic analysis, linguistic and cultural analysis, and elements of the comparative method. The novelty of the research is conducted on a variety of folk culture materials.

PHRASEOLOGY STUDIES IN TURKEY
Every society has its own vocabulary, no doubt one of the most valuable items of this treasure are the idioms. Idioms are harmonious, figurative, colorful and vivid narrative stereotypes of word forms, which decorate and enrich expressions and enable emotions and thoughts to be told in a shortest way. In this study, from past to present the first studies done in Turkey about idioms, their historical development, and works published in this field will be included.

Yarbay Ahmed Sedad tarafından ilki 1892'de, ikincisi ise 1908'de olmak üzere iki kez yayınlanan Rusça-Türkçe Lügat, bilinen ilk Rusça-Türkçe sözlüktür. Ayrıca eser, Türkiye'de basılan eski imlalı tek Rusça sözlük olma özelliğini de taşımaktadır. Rusça-Türkçe Lügat'te yaklaşık 18000 madde ve 20000 civarında Rusça kelime yer almaktadır.

Although at first the language and culture seem to be two independent phenomena, they are the elements that help us to understand the language of the people, which is blended in a certain cultural understanding by completing one another. While teaching the languages of people, which have been shaped on the basis of a certain worldview, the educators may come across some difficulties. Although it is not always possible to understand every phenomenon in a language, bringing a cultural perspective can help to understand not only that language, but also those, who speak it. In teaching Russian as foreign language there is an unusual usage of some language units for the Turkish language speakers. In the expressions, used In this work, it is studied and tried to identify the possible reasons for the expression of the next contrast to the Turkish language, in which the time is conveyed more concisely. The study aims to reveal, how the human-modeled perception of time is reflected in the language under the influence of culture. For this purpose, it is discussed how cyclical and linear models, which are traditional models of time, and the myths of the ancient Slavic people regarding 24-hour day could be reflected in the Russian worldview while expressing time.

Dil “iletişim aracı” tanımının ötesinde bir toplumun kültürel de- ğerlerini aktarmadaki en etkili araçtır. Bu sebeple değişime, gelişime ve etkileşime açık olan kültür ile kendisini taşıyan ve nesilden nesile aktaran dil arasındaki ilişki, geçmişten günümüze dek önemini muhafaza eder. Geniş bir alana yayılan kültür, içinde maddi ve manevi tüm değerleri ba- rındırır, gelenek olarak kabul görmüş tüm unsurları yansıtır. Tüm bu alan- ların içinde toplumun manevi değerlerinin bir aynası niteliğindeki “ko- nuşma kültürü” kavramı, dilin geleneksel olgularını yansıttığı kadar için- de bulunduğu zamanın koşullarına göre leksik ve biçimsel açıdan birta- kım değişimlere maruz kalabilir. Edebi dili, bu dilin dil bilgisel, leksik gi- bi birtakım normlarına göre konuşmayı ön planda tutan “konuşma kültü- rü” kavramı, aynı zamanda stilistik açıdan en uygun ve etkileyici konuş- ma tekniklerinin kullanımını yani konuşma becerisini de ifade eder. An- cak dilin edebi biçimden, geleneksel normlardan uzaklaştığı da bilinen bir gerçektir. Bu durum toplumun bir takım manevi ihtiyaç ve değerlerden uzaklaşmasının bir sonucu olarak değerlendirilebilir. Burada dili gelenek- sel yapısını kaybettirmeden konuşma kültürünün çağdaş anlamda kazan- dığı değişimlerle birlikte muhafaza etmenin önemi ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmamızda Rusçanın konuşma kültürü, geleneksel kültürün ayrılmaz bir parçası olarak incelenecektir.

Anton Çehov, yazarlık ve hekimlik faaliyetlerinin yanında, toplumun yardıma muhtaç kesimlerine hayırsever nitelikte aktif görevler üstlendi. Edebiyatçı vasfını sosyal açıdan savunmasız grupların durumuna dikkat çekmek için gazetelerde yayımladığı makalelerin etkileyici dili vasıtasıyla değerlendirdi. Çar II. Nikolay'ın 1902'de Maksim Gorki'nin Rusya Bilimler Akademisi fahri üyeliğine seçiminin men edilmesi kararı üzerine, Anton Çehov bu kurumun fahri üyeliğinden Vladimir Galaktionoviç Korolenko ile birlikte feragat etmiştir.

İngiliz edebiyat eleştirmeni Julian Symons'a göre, 1884 yılında yazılmış olan roman sadece dedektif türünün parlak bir örneği değil, aynı zamanda yenilikçi bir çalışmadır. Symons, Agatha Christie’nin Çehov’un bu romanda başvurduğu tekniği 1926'da yazdığı bir eserinde uyguladığını vurgular.

Russian Literary Criticism in the 19th century
Criticism is the academic discipline of the techniques evaluating and
inquiring literary works in the frame of art. Criticism deals with the assessment
and interpretation of literary works in a contemporary perspective, including the
social and philological debates of the zeitgeist; reveals and explains the creative
principles of the literature movement. Literary criticism is interwoven with literature
and art, as well as other social disciplines.
In the beginning of the eighteenth century, literary criticism with an expanding
readers and advancement in literature began to appear in Russian literature
by Petro reforms, and the first newspapers and magazines began to emerge.
Consequently, Russian literature and criticism, has made great progress with the
Enlightenment.
In the 19th century, It is widely accepted that Russian literary criticism reached
its peak under the influence of various literary movements. In the first half of the
19th century, divisions of literary criticism were formed on the basis of literary
movements such as classicalism, sentimentalism, and romanticism. In the second
half of the 19th century, literature was integrated in criticism with social matters.

Edebiyat eleştirisi, edebi eserleri sanat çerçevesinde inceleyen, edebiyatla ilgili
bir bilimdir. Eleştiri, edebiyat eserlerini yaşamın toplumsal ve ruhsal sorunlarını
da kapsayarak çağdaş bakış açısıyla değerlendirme ve yorumlama işiyle
uğraşmakta; edebi akımların yaratıcı ilkelerini açığa çıkarmakta, onaylamakta ve
açıklamaktadır, Edebiyat eleştirisi, diğer sosyal disiplinlerin yanı sıra, edebiyat
ve sanatla iç içedir.
XVIII. yüzyılın başlangıcında, Petro reformlarıyla birlikte genişleyen bir okur
kitlesi ve edebiyat alanında meydana gelen gelişmelerle birlikte, edebiyat
eleştirisi de Rus edebiyatında kendini göstermeye başlamış, ilk gazete ve dergiler
ortaya çıkmaya başlamıştır. Tüm bunların sonucunda; Rus edebiyatı ve eleştirisi,
XVIII. yüzyıl Batı Avrupa Aydınlanma hareketleriyle birlikte büyük bir gelişme
göstermiştir.
XIX. yüzyılda ise Rus edebiyat eleştirisi, çeşitli edebi akımların etkisi altında
parlak bir devir geçirmiştir. XIX. yüzyılın ilk yarısında edebiyat eleştirisinin
bölümleri, klasisizm, sentimentalizm, romantizm gibi edebiyat akımlarının
temelinde oluşmuştur. XIX. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında edebiyat, toplumsal konularla
eleştiride bütünleşmiştir.

A CULTURAL LINGUISTICS APPROACH TO TURKISH-RUSSIAN IDIOMS
Language and culture interact closely. Recently as gradually spreading language and language units are examined in the form of cultural codes of nations. Language reflects the past and present thought structure of nations. Language is the true representative of culture, language forms almost a bridge between culture and man. In this study, after giving a general information about the definition and historical development of cultural linguistics, Russian and Turkish idioms, expressions will be examined in terms of culture and linguistics; further more differences and similarities between them will be mentioned.
