The author reveals the impact of public policy on changing gender relations in a Siberian peasant family in the 1920ies. Deliberate policy of the State in regard to the family and the " status of women ", the creation of special bodies - Women's departments , the propaganda in the media and in the "field" - the key factors of "fast" modernization processes in all aspects of family relations of the Russian \ Soviet society. In Soviet society, these problems were called " women's issues " and represented in a special print media , such as " Communist girl", and later " Working woman " and " Peasant woman", " Red Siberian woman", " Women's Magazine " etc. It is interesting that among the other problems on the way of solving the "women's issue" was reported about man-leaders, members of Communist party, who perceived the activity of a Women's departments with a certain degree of irony. This men are often contemptuously called Women's departments as "Woman's thing", " Kraybaba", " Tsentrobaba ", " Babkom".
This work is interesting in studying of a local data - reveals the changing role and functions of a Siberian peasant woman in the south of Western Siberia in the first decade of Soviet government.
