The present article reflects the effort of a student of Bachelor in Primary Education of the Benemérita and Centenary Normal School of the State (BECENE) in the elaboration of its receptive document in the Modality of Thematic Portfolio, attending an area of opportunity of its teaching practice " Reading comprehension "identified in a group of third grade elementary during the school year 2015 - 2016, giving solution through its intervention proposal. The objective is to explain how this modality of qualification allowed the achievement of the purposes of teaching in primary and the impact that had in the student for its formation. The results allowed to analyze his intervention, where he managed to improve 96.42% of the reading comprehension in the students. The modality allowed a reflexive analysis from the cycle of Smith and the constant advice that maintained to pose the solution of the problem through the staging.
