Black Summoner (2018)

“Black Summoner” is an adaptation of the light novel of the same name where a young man wakes up in grassland in front of a shattered mountain. While still wondering about this place being not Japan and not even the earth, he admits that he doesn’t know himself when a pop-up ad appears in front of him and solemnly congratulates him on his situation. As the winner of a randomized raffle, he got transported to an alternate world, and in exchange for his new abilities, he lost all his memories.

When he opens his status menu, it turns out that he is called Kelvin in this new world, and he belongs to the conjuration class. This one allows him to pact with magical creatures and conjure them in a fight. Led by the voice which appears with the first pop-up messages and may belong to the goddess who took him into the new world, Kelvin sets off to the next town where he wants to register as an adventurer and begin his new life …

In »Black Summoner«, einer Adaption der gleichnamigen Light Novel, wacht ein junger Mann im Grasland vor einem zerstörten Berg auf. Als er sich noch wundert, dass dieser Ort nicht Japan und vermutlich nicht einmal die Erde ist, und feststellen muss, dass ihm auch seine eigene Identität unbekannt ist, erscheint eine Statusmeldung vor seiner Nase und beglückwünscht ihn feierlich zu seiner Lage. Als Gewinner einer unparteiischen Verlosung habe er das Recht erhalten, in eine alternative Welt transferiert zu werden, im Gegenzug für seine neuen Fähigkeiten jedoch alle ihn persönlich betreffenden Erinnerungen verloren.

Als er seine Statusinformationen abruft, stellt sich heraus, dass er in dieser Welt den Namen Kelvin trägt und der Beschwörer-Klasse angehört. Dieser ist es möglich, mit magischen Wesen zu paktieren und jene dann im Kampf heraufzubeschwören. Geleitet von der zur anfänglichen Statusmeldung erschienenen Stimme, die offenbar der Göttin gehört, die Kelvin in diese Welt beschworen hat, macht er sich in die nächste Stadt auf, um sich bei der Abenteurergilde zu registrieren und sein neues Leben zu beginnen …
