Anxiety-free with food

When you’re worried or anxious, you might get a tummy ache, or a rumbling in your stomach.

That’s because there’s a direct link between your belly and your brain. But it works the other way round too – an unhealthy gut can cause problems in the brain, including anxiety and depression.

‘If our brain chemistry is right, it will work with equilibrium – meaning, without anxiety,’ says Liana Werner-Gray, author of Anxiety-Free with Food. ‘Address the nutritional deficiencies in the body, fix the brain chemistry, and a human body won’t suffer with constant anxiety.’
