About this audiobook
“The perfect gift for readers who relish heartwarming tales of sisters and love.”—Booklist on The Christmas Sisters
In the snowy Highlands of Scotland, Suzanne McBride is dreaming of the perfect cozy Christmas. Her three adopted daughters are coming home for the holidays and she can’t wait to see them. But tensions are running high…
Workaholic Hannah knows she can’t avoid spending the holidays with her family two years in a row. But it’s not the weight of their expectations that’s panicking her—it’s the life-changing secret she’s hiding. Stay-at-home mom Beth is having a personal crisis. All she wants for Christmas is time to decide if she’s ready to return to work—seeing everyone was supposed to help her stress levels, not increase them! Posy isn’t sure she’s living her best life, but with her parents depending on her, making a change seems risky. But not as risky as falling for gorgeous new neighbor Luke…
As Suzanne’s dreams of the perfect McBride Christmas unravel, she must rely on the magic of the season to bring her daughters together. But will this new togetherness teach the sisters that their close-knit bond is strong enough to withstand anything—including a family Christmas?

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a perfect listen for the holiday season. The narrator does a great job and the speed is just right. The story revolves around Suzanne, who fulfills her promise to take care of her best friend's three girls. The characters are well-developed and the setting in the highlands of Scotland adds to the charm. However, one reviewer found the mispronunciation of 'Mt Rainier' by the narrator to be distracting. Overall, this book is a heartwarming tale of family and love.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was the perfect listen for this time of year. After Thanksgiving I always turn to holiday centered books and this one hit the spot!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a great Christmas story ! I really enjoyed it
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The narrator did a great job and I thought the speed of 1.5X was perfect for me. Suzanne made a promise to her best friend Cheryl, that if she ever died, she would take care of her 3 girls. Hannah, Beth and Posy's parents were killed in an avalanche hiking Mt. Rainier when they were young. Fortune and favour looked on them because they couldn't have adopted a better mother than Suzanne. She is most compassionate with a caring heart and I liked her. When the three sisters got older they become more estranged and would only see each other once a year at Christmastime in the highlands of Scotland. Hannah was the most problematic since she made every excuse not to come. Except for this time, both Beth and Hannah arrived early... Posy lived with her parents all year and was an active outdoor enthusiast who loved to mountain climb as her parents did. Suzanne and Stewart loved those girls and they all had strong personalities but they never really discussed and healed from what happened to their parents all those years ago.
With the prospects of budding romance for all three sisters, this novel warmed my heart. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Couldn't finish it. The narrator mispronounces Mt Rainier about 50 times by chapter 5. I couldnt deal with it. Going to try to read it myself.
