Like the other books there was trauma with the Mitchell boys but Denver had her own trauma which could be a trigger for some. It was a good story (not my favorite) and the narrators were awesome as usual.

I've listened to all three captivating stories more than once. It reminds me that even though we have hurt from generations past we can overcome it and break those chains. It's not easy forgiving our parents for what they perceived to be the right thing in how they handled certain situations but building genuine relationships with people who can communicate can indirectly help us start the healing journey. I just love Alexandia's pen :-)

I feel like this one had a slower start, but picked up steam pretty quickly. After it picked up, I loved it just as much as books 1 & 2! Hate it had to end, cause I definitely fell in love wit Dem Mitchell Boys! This has become my favorite book in the series. I re-listen to it at least once a month. Shu is such an amazing character, as us Denver. Love them as a couple!

While I loved me some Shu, it does not measure up to Set and Jah. Don’t get me wrong, the book was really good but, it was not nearly as entertaining as the first two. That’s probably because the story line was more serious. My heart just broke for Denver. And, that piss poor azz mama of hers made me want to fight her! This wench had the audacity to ask Denver to come stay with her when she got out of the hospital after she chose that pasty pale face husband of hers over her child?!!! B*tch bye! I loved how protective Shu was with Denver. He definitely proved he’d do anything for her. You gotta love a man who’ll go to those lengths. When Shu was pouring out his feeling at the breakfast table and asked Denver to marry him, I don’t know who cried more. Me or Denver?!!! I love reading about passionate black couples and, even though the books were short, I really enjoyed the Mitchell's series.
