      Could not tolerate the narrator’s voice and intonation. Grating and over acted. Couldn’t get through the first chapter.

      I really enjoyed this, surprisingly:) I’ve never really read this genre. I found it well written, which was a pleasant surprise. Some lengths found in monologues, some annoyance at prissy princess behaviors that never seemed to end, and at an extreme attraction that appeared to be used in a very manipulative way. However, characters had an emotional presence, more than surface! Unexpected plot twists and turns were not anticipated, which was interesting to me! Intriguing historical background, and will read next one.
