This book was amazing. This was the slow burns of all slow burns… selfishly I wish they would have taken advantage of that one bed inn but oh well

It was a bit too cringey for me. Other books were kinda cringey as well, but they were mostly entertaining-cringey. This one not so much. The heroine was just too stupid (her choices didn't make sense way too often), the plot twists were pretty bad. They often made me feel like peeling my skin off (because of how cringey they were). The series were not bad, but the ending was not great. 3 stars is the most I can give

Love this series! The books are so suspenseful and I love the whimsical and magical world it’s in. My only complaint is the the male narrator for this last audiobook really threw me off. He voiced Jacks as an old, midwestern type of voice that was gruff and irritating. It was really distracting accents from the male perspective, but the story is great and the female narrative isn’t irritating and pulls you in.

Why the narrator did poor Castor so dirty? The voice didn’t suit him at all in my opinion. But the book was good, I listened all three books in just a week. I really liked Jacks character from the Caraval trilogy and having some chapters from his pov was all I needed from this book.
