Audio performance was excellent. The book itself is lacking world development. It felt like WWII historical fiction with a sprinkle of fantasy right at the very end.

I picked up this book because it was on so many top reads of 2023 lists. At first, I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. The start was a bit slow, but I promise… stick with it. This one is going to live in my head for awhile.

I liked the magic typewriters and I wanted more of that. The twist at the end was good but this book was a little slow. Not a huge fan of the war, not sure if I will pick up the second one. I liked the MC and I liked how the author did the romance.
