About this audiobook
Winner of the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award
One of TIME's 100 Best Fantasy Books of All Time
Ged was the greatest sorcerer in Earthsea, but in his youth he was the reckless Sparrowhawk. In his hunger for power and knowledge, he tampered with long held secrets and loosed a terrible shadow upon the world. This is the tumultuous tale of his testing, how he mastered the mighty words of power, tamed an ancient dragon, and crossed death's threshold to restore the balance.
"The magic of Earthsea is primal; the lessons of Earthsea remain as potent, as wise, and as necessary as anyone could dream."—Neil Gaiman

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing fantasy novel for YA readers. I seldom or barley read Ya fantasy novel but this was a must. I know that a lot of writers like Neil gaiman and others include them in their fav novel list. So I decided to pick it up " I did hybrid read +audio book". The fact that Rob Inglis narrated the series made me more excited to check it out. Now I understand why this novel is in the 100 best fantasy novels list and it definitely has inspired a lot of writers and starwars! . This novel is not just for YA readers but for adults as well.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I was really interested in the book and tried to make it through. But , sorry to say this, the narrator is so incredibly boring, that I gave up. I tried several times. But it´s like your grandpa would be really tired and still try to read you a good - night -story with a lot of effort. Maybe I will read it at some point, but somehow it´s spoiled now. cheers
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolute classic! It's been too long since I read this, great to listen to it. The narrator did a fantastic job.
