What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a combination of Harry Potter and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but poorly executed. The book rushes too fast, lacks originality, and fails to develop emotional attachment to the characters. However, some readers appreciate the engaging story and the interesting magic system. Overall, it is not recommended unless you are a die-hard fantasy fan.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I actually liked it. Almost like a Harry Potter fan fiction. My only qualm is with the voices. The narrator isn’t bad but I hated the voice for Oliver’s Brother and he made Oliver sound quite annoying and exasperating at times.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5If you ever wondered what would happen if Harry Potter faced off against Adolph Hitler then this is the book for you. It's not very original at all and it rushes to fast for anyone to develop any emotional attachment to any of the characters. The parallels to Harry Potter and far too frequent and strong and the time he spends with the kids in his machine school feels like about 2 days and suddenly everyone is seriously invested in each other's emotional state. I'm not sure how this book made it into production.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The book wasn’t great. After spending a few days at a new school the author expects us to believe that deep long lasting connections have been made. It was really unbelievable but most of all, I hated the narration. The narrators interpretation was awful. Why would a boy from New Jersey have an English accent?
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5DNF -really tried. It’s so poorly written and slow. Don’t recommend unless you enjoy first drafts
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was good but not much of a build up little dry
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Terribly written. Wooden characters, predictable everything, no understanding of the science discussed. I finally gave up.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I feel like this is a combination of Charlie and the chocolate factory+ Harry potter, but poorly executed... won't continue with the series; although the magic system is kind of interesting, I'm not entirely invested in the characters' journey
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5engaging story ! and very nice sub characters. A must read for every fantasy FANS
