- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Khan bravely tackles complex and intersectional experiences surrounding international students, adoption, racism, and fallible people who make mistakes. They deftly weave in cultural exploration and identity. The book may have explored the experience of its characters from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community a bit more. But overall, a compelling story that had me thinking.
