- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a historical fiction book. This book is about a boy names Stanley who got flattened by a board one night so he is permanently flat! This specific book is about a trip that his family and him take to Mount Rushmore. While they are there, him and his brother meet a cowgirl named Calamity Jasper. Calamity takes them to a gold mine and they are determine to find gold but encounter many problems along the way.
