Issuance of Detailed Statements Indicating Individual Medical Fee Calculation Items
At OIST clinic, in line with our commitment to promoting transparency in healthcare and actively providing information to patients, we offer a detailed statement showing individual medical fee calculation items free of charge when issuing receipts. The statement includes the names of medications used and the names of tests performed. If you do not wish to receive this statement, please inform the reception desk at the time of payment.
On Generic Drug Prescriptions
At OIST clinic, we are promoting the use of generic drugs and implementing measures to ensure a stable supply of medications. Currently, there is an ongoing situation where it is difficult to ensure an adequate supply of certain medications.
For medications with generic alternatives, instead of specifying a particular brand name, we may issue prescriptions based on the active ingredient, known as a generic drug prescription. This means prescribing by the general name of the active ingredient, not the brand name. By using generic drug prescriptions, even when there is a supply shortage of a specific medication, it becomes easier to provide the patient with the necessary drugs.
If you have any questions or concerns about generic drug prescriptions, please feel free to consult with us.
On Long-term Prescriptions and Refill Prescriptions
At OIST clinic, depending on the patient's condition, we are able to:
- Issue long-term prescriptions for a duration of 28 days or more
- Issue refill prescriptions
However, whether a long-term prescription or a refill prescription can be issued will be determined by the physician based on the patient's condition.
