The total and partial densities of electronic states of gold monolayer structures of different symmetry are calculated by the quantum mechanical calculations methods in the DFT approximation. It is shown that the first coordination sphere is determinant in the formation of the fine structure and the extent of the valence bands of the monolayer gold structures under study. The peaks splitting of the TDOS curve, which leads to its finer structure, is influenced not only by the lengths of interatomic bonds but also by the mutual arrangement of atoms. The influence of long-range interactions on the electronic structure of gold monolayers has been established. For example, for the (110) plane, a change in the atomic ordering in the third coordination sphere as a result of the introduction of a vacancy leads to noticeable changes in the TDOS curve, which indicates either a significant role of the atoms of the third coordination sphere or a significant redistribution of the interaction of d-orbitals of different symmetries of close neighbours. A correlation between the packing density, as well as the number of neighbours in the first coordination sphere, and the width of the energy band of gold monolayers has been established.

The analysis of conditions of long operation of driving mechanisms of technological sites of firing and grinding at cement production is carried out in the work. Typical variants of mutual arrangement of crown pair elements in case of rectilinear axis of rotation of technological unit body and axial beating of gear ring, as well as variant of mutual arrangement of crown gear elements in case of curved axis of rotation of rotary unit body are considered. A technique for determining the total angle of skew of the teeth of the crown pair, taking into account the errors of manufacture and the relative position of the wheels of the open gear. On the basis of experimental data the dependences of the total skew angle of the teeth of the crown pair as a function of the rotation angle of the gear crown are constructed and the possible range of the total skew angle under different operating conditions of the considered large rotating units is determined. To assess the stress-strain state of the elements of the ring gear mounted on the furnace body, a solid model was created in the software environment Solid Works Simulation. As an example, the dependences of the change in the magnitude of the deformation of the teeth of the toothed crown in the plane of action of a uniformly distributed normal force are determined. Practical recommendations for improving the design of the crown gear pair are offered. Keywords: rotary kilns; mills; crown gear; toothed crown; the angle of skew of the teeth; finite element method

Abstract Hybridization effects play a crucial role in determining the electronic properties of hybrid inorganic/organic interfaces. To gain insight into these important interactions, we perform a first-principles study based on hybrid density-functional theory including spin-orbit coupling, focusing on eight representative systems formed by two carbon-conjugated molecules-pyrene and perylene-physisorbed on the transition-metal dichalcogenide monolayers (TMDCs) MoS2, MoSe2 WS2, and WSe2. By means of band unfolding techniques, we analyze the band structures of the considered materials, identifying the contributions of the individual constituents as well as the signatures of their hybridization. Based on symmetry and energetic arguments, we derive general conditions for electronic hybridization between conjugated molecules and underlying TMDCs even when the former do not lie planar on the latter, thus providing the key to predict how their mutual arrangement affect their electronic interactions.

Abstract The author conducted experiments using the method of acoustic emission under uniaxial tension of specimens of CFRP laminates with different stacking, geometry and stress concentration. The influence of a mutual arrangement of the material destruction zone and the extensometer installation site on the nonlinear deformation is revealed. It is shown that the damage accumulation process is highly informative when determining the energy of AE pulses. The possibility of visualizing the formation and development of destruction zones in orthogonal directions, as well as the possibility of determining the moment of crack start from the apex of the notch during splitting, is established. The mechanism of alternating stress relaxation in two developed zones of destruction is revealed. The paper shows a high degree of correlation between mechanic and acoustic-emission events. Finally, the author suggests assessing the mechanical state of material with the account of obtained damages by the degree of its integrity (one to zero) depending on the load history, its individual geometric features and stress concentration.

Cultural bonds between the peoples of Bulgaria and Iran have been vibrant throughout the ages but it was not until Bulgaria’s Liberation from the Ottoman rule in 1878 that we can talk about inter-state relations. This article reveals the main bilateral developments in their initial 25-year period, challenging some existing assumptions. The establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations in 1897 is correlated with the launching of official contacts between both heads of state much earlier. Iranian consular presence in the Principality of Bulgaria, directed by Iran’s Embassy in Constantinople, had a fairly long record but lacked consistency. Consular cases provoked disputes over the rights and privileges of Iranian subjects residing in Bulgaria and an attempt to solve them by a mutual arrangement. The first Iranian diplomatic agency in Sofia functioned in 1898-1902 and contributed to the preparation of the historic visit of Iranian monarch Mozaffar ed-Din Shah to Bulgaria in September 1900.

Aerospace images with a spatial resolution of less than 1 m are actively used by regional services to obtain and update information about various environmental objects. Considerable efforts are being devoted to the development of remote sensing methods for forest areas. The structure of the forest canopy depends on various parameters, most of which are determined by ground-based methods during forest management works. Remote sensing methods for assessing the structural parameters of forest stands are based on texture analysis of panchromatic and multispectral images. A statistical approach is often used to extract texture features. The basis of this approach is the description of the distributions characterizing the mutual arrangement of image pixels in grayscale. This paper compares the effectiveness of matrix based statistical methods for extracting textural features for solving the problem of classifying various natural and manmade objects, as well as structures of the forest canopy. We consider statistics of various orders based on estimates of the distributions of gray levels, as well as the mutual occurrence, frequency, difference and structuring of gray levels. The results of assessing the informativeness of statistical textural characteristics in determining various structures of the forest canopy are presented. Dependences of the classification results on the choice of distribution parameters are determined. For the quantitative validation of the results obtained, data from ground surveys and expert visual classification of very high resolution WorldView-2 images of the territories of Savvatyevkoe and Bronnitskoe forestries are used.

Abstract A family of differential dynamic systems is considered on a real plane of their phase variables x, y. The main common feature of systems under consideration is: every particular system includes equations with polynomial right parts of the third order in one equation and of the second order in another one. These polynomials are mutually reciprocal, i.e., their decompositions into forms of lower orders do not contain common multipliers. The whole family of dynamic systems has been split into subfamilies according to the numbers of different reciprocal multipliers in the decompositions and depending on an order of sequence of different roots of polynomials. Every subfamily has been studied in a Poincare circle using Poincare mappings. A plan of the investigation for each selected subfamily of dynamic systems includes the following steps. We determine a list of singular points of systems of the fixed subfamily in a Poincare circle. For every singular point in the list, we use the notions of a saddle (S) and node (N) bundles of adjacent to this point semi trajectories, of a separatrix of the singular point, and of a topo dynamical type of the singular point (its TD – type). Further we split the family under consideration to subfamilies of different hierarchical levels with proper numbers. For every chosen subfamily we reveal topo dynamical types of singular points and separatrices of them. We investigate the behavior of separatrices for all singular points of systems belonging to the chosen subfamily. Very important are: a question of a uniqueness of a continuation of every given separatrix from a small neighborhood of a singular point to all the lengths of this separatrix, as well as a question of a mutual arrangement of all separatrices in a Poincare circle Ω. We answer these questions for all subfamilies of studied systems. The presented work is devoted to the original study. The main task of the work is to depict and describe all different in the topological meaning phase portraits in a Poincare circle, possible for the dynamical differential systems belonging to a broad family under consideration, and to its numerical subfamilies of different hierarchical levels. This is a theoretical work, but due to special research methods it may be useful for applied studies of dynamic systems with polynomial right parts. Author hopes that this work may be interesting and useful for researchers as well as for students and postgraduates. As a result, we describe and depict phase portraits of dynamic systems of a taken family and outline the criteria of every portrait appearance.

Abstract When studying the influence of excavator bucket capacity on haul truck loading time, it is necessary to assess the technical and economic performance of the complex. If the cost of the machine shift of the complex will not cover the increase in productivity, then it is inexpedient to use this complex. This issue requires further, more detailed study and performance of detailed technical and economic analysis. Also, it is necessary to consider classical recommendations about ratio of excavator bucket capacity and haul truck body. It should be noted that at present, there is a significant divergence in the size range of excavators: powerful, with a large capacity bucket, rope shovels are used for mining the coalless zone; small maneuverable hydraulic shovels – for mining the coal-bearing zone. In this paper, we will try to combine the first and the second: consider hydraulic excavators with maximum bucket capacity, which is reasonable to use when mining overburden. In addition, a detailed study of the options of mutual arrangement of excavator and haul truck has not been performed until recently, this work is intended to fill this gap.

The present article consists of key extracts from the recently published Adrian Pabst’s book “Postliberal Politics. The Coming Era of Renewal” (2021). According to the author, stability in the West faces the challenges of left and right populism. And if left populism hasn’t survived the trial by real elections, the right populism is quite successful in removing liberal elites from power. At the same time the strong point of the right populism is the provision of a political program, but its weakness is in the absence of any concepts or political instruments for transitions implementation. But forces, - the ultraliberal left and anti-liberal right, - develop various types of identity politics thus undermining the cultural and civilizational fundamental aspects of the West and the feelings of common goal and common destiny. The author opposes those extremes with postliberalism – non-uniform ideological movement directed at overcoming the contradictions of the deadlocked liberal ideology that is characterized by the rise of both left and right populism. According to Adrian Pabst, postliberalism acknowledges the failure of liberal projects and at the same time the necessity to preserve the most valuable liberal aspects in new form. Liberalism with its multiple trends is not beyond hope and some institutions it created are worth preserving. Still liberal ideology lead to the situation when freedom once alienated from self-restraint and mutual obligations turned into unfreedom. Self-destruction of liberal values such as freedom, equality, tolerance and pluralism demonstrates abnormalities that at once distort liberal principles and show liberal ideology logic. Postliberalism is intended to cut short those defects. In particular, postliberal ideology proceeds from acknowledging that the society is based not on some non-personal social contract between individuals as claimed by the liberals from the times of Hobbes and Locke, but appeared as the result of mutual arrangement between generations. Civil liberty does not man freedom from obligations or freedom for the sake of egoistical interests, but liberty to take care of oneself and others. Personality development based on personal independence should be balanced by common well-being. Equality does not mean uniformity but respect for integral virtue. Individual rights should not be downgraded but should be specific and relative due to their connection with obligations towards other people. Postliberalism in this interpretation endeavors to preserve the best gains of liberal ideology while eliminating the threat of blunt authoritarianism that is always concealed in liberal logic.

A computer program has been created that makes it possible to analyze the features of the spatial distribution of Joule heat in two-phase matrix systems with round inclusions. The program uses the finite element method and is implemented in Fortran code. It was found that at certain points of the two-phase medium, the specific power of the Joule heat is determined. The magnitude of the unevenness of the heat distribution exhibits the ability to level. It was found that the location of the points at which the set parameters for a given structure pm are set depends on the ratio between the conduction of the matrix and the inclusion and the local mutual arrangement of the inclusions. The processes of sintering powder materials using electric heating are considered. It was found that as a result of selective sedimentation, the possibility of the formation of anisotropic structures is turned on. The features of the processes of contact electrical materials based on mixtures of copper and tungsten are discussed. It is assumed that the processes of local heating can initiate the sedimentation of copper particles. In this case, groupings of particles can be formed, oriented along the direction of the heating electric current. The possibility of synthesizing materials similar to composite fiber systems is shown. It is proposed to use computer simulation programs to support heat treatment processes using electric heating.
