9.8.1 Updating the Method of Contact Prerequisites to proceed: The customer should have an existing landline connection. Users: CSR, CO To update the method of contact: 1. Login into SAP CRM application using the credentials. The SAP CRM Home Page appears. 2. Click Service Orders. The Service Orders Window appears. 3. Click Service Request under Create field. The Select Transaction Type window appears. 4. Select BSNL Service Request. The Service Request Window appears. 5. Enter Asset ID (IBase ID). Note: To search the Asset ID, Click the button located next to Asset field. The IBase Search Window appears. Enter the appropriate telephone number and click Search. The corresponding line item appears in the Result List in the same window. 6. Select the following values in the Search Request Window as shown in Figure 150. Request Type as Account Related Change Type as Preferred Method of Contact Change Sub-Type as Contact Method (Email) Note: The Email is activated in the Preferred Method of Contact 7. Enter Email ID and other relevant information.

9. Go to Home Page Service Orders Service Orders Window appears. 10. Enter the value for Service Order ID.

Service Orders/Requests under Search. The Search:

11. Press Enter. The corresponding line item appears in the Result List field in the same window. 12. Click the record. The Service Request Window for that particular ID appears. Note: The Status field changes to Assigned to CO. To check the status of the Service Request: Login as CO: 13. Login into SAP CRM application as CO. The CO Home Page appears. 14. Click Worklist. The Worklist Window for CO appears. 15. Click the corresponding Worklist. The changes requested by the customer can be viewed. 16. Click Back. The Worklist window appears 17. Choose either Approved or Rejected from the Decision field. 18. Click Execute Decision. The Service Request is either Approved or Rejected. To check if the status of the Service Request has changed or not: . 19. Go to Home Page Service Orders Service Orders Window appears. Service Orders/Requests under Search. The Search:

20. Enter the value for the Service Request ID field. 21. Click Search. The Status of the Service Request changes to Approved.
