    Wind power is generated by wind turbines harnessing the energy of wind. The power generated is proportional to the cube of the wind's velocity. While wind is plentiful, the availability of wind power can be uncertain. Advantages of wind power include utilizing an inexhaustible resource that produces no pollution. Power developed from wind is calculated using the swept area and wind velocity, and wind rotates the turbine which is connected to a generator to produce electricity.
