Things to get in place before starting Set of screwdrivers and pliers Piece of cloth CPU Thermal compound (recommended) PC components Step 1: Installing the motherboard

Open the side doors of the cabinet Lay the cabinet on its side Put the motherboard in place Drive in all the re uired screws
Lift the CPU lever on the motherboard Place the CPU properly on the motherboard Pull down the lever to secure the CPU in place Warning: Do not try to push the CPU into the motherboard!
"ot the thermal compound# $ow is the time to use it% Ta&e small amount of it and carefully apply it on the top surface of the processor% 'e careful not to put it on the nei(hborin( parts of the motherboard% )f you do so clean it immediately usin( the cloth% Tip: Thermal compounds should be chan(ed once every si* months for optimal performance

Place the heat sin& on the processor Put the +ac&s in place Secure the heat sin& with the lever
Push down the ,-. into the slot .a&e sure the both the clips hold the ,-. properly
Place the PSU into the cabinet Put the screws in place ti(htly
,emove the bac& plate on the cabinet correspondin( to the (raphics card Push the card into the slot Secure the card with a screw Plu( in the power connection from PSU (if re uired)
Place the hard drive into the bay Secure the drive with screws Connect the power cable from PSU Connect the data cable from motherboard into the drive
Tip: )f your PSU does not support S-T- power supply then you will need to (et an converter which will convert your standard )D/ power connector to a S-T- power connector%

Place the optical drive into the bay Drive in the screws Connect the power cable and data cable
Step ,: Connecting )arious cables Connect the lar(e -T0 power connector to the power supply port on your motherboard
$e*t (et hold of the smaller s uare power connector which supplies power to the processor and connect it to the appropriate port by ta&in( help from your motherboard manual Connect the cabinet cables for power1 reset button in the appropriate port of the motherboard Connect the front US'2audio panel cable in the motherboard Plu( the cable of cabinet fans
Connect the 3"- cable of the monitor into the 3"- port )f mouse2&eyboard are PS24 then connect them to PS24 ports or else use the US' port Connect the spea&er cable in the audio port Plu( in the power cable from PSU into the UPS -lso plu( in the power cable of the monitor
Set the first boot device to CD2D3D drive in ')OS Pop in the OS dis&
,eboot the PC )nstall the OS )nstall drivers from motherboard CD (applicable only to 5indows OS)
