    There is no school for students on


    Wednesday Feb 18 and Thursday Feb 19.
    School resumes on Sunday Feb 22.

    Reflections:
    Parental Engagement Week was a great success! A special thank you to the parents who
    were able to take part in the planned events throughout the week. To those parents/
    guardians that were able to speak to classes about their homes and cultures it was greatly
    appreciated. This will act as a link and guide us towards our new Unit of Inquiry Where We
    Are in Place and Time, that we will start next week.

    Learning Engagements:
    Next week we will be focusing on:
    Language - We will be continuing our work on our writing skills and creating sentences.
    Maths - This week we will be working on using number lines and learning about subtraction
    stories.
    Social Studies/Science - This week we will be Tuning Into our new Unit of Inquiry Where
    We Are in Place and Time, by finding out what we currently know about homes.

    On Sunday Feb 15th we will be celebrating 100 days of school. We kindly ask that students
    bring in a collection of 100 items either previously purchased or homemade (which is an engaging hands on/at home activity that can be done in an hour or two). Students will then be
    able to present their collection to the class.
