New sidewalks on Market Street, 31st Street, Sparling Street, Holabird Street and Euclid
Avenue.
Library facility improvements at the Malcolm X Library in Valencia Park and Weingart
Library in City Heights (interior and exterior improvements, lighting upgrades and
additional security cameras.)
Demolition and site preparations for a new park in San Ysidro
ADA updates to parking lots at Colina Del Sol Community Park, Montgomery Waller
Community Park, Mountain View Neighborhood Park, Hollywood Neighborhood Park
and Colonel Irving Salomon San Ysidro Community Activity Center.
Basketball and tennis court improvements at several local parks and recreation centers
Traffic calming measures on Highland Ave.
Last year, the City Council approved increasing the allocation of CBDG funding to more
neighborhood infrastructure projects. The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
program is a federal program that provides communities with resources to address community
development needs.
The funding will be made available pending final approval of the full City Council next month.
