Authentic Assessment

Standard: CC.1.1.K.C: Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes). Recognize
and produce rhyming words.
Students will be tested on their ability to come up with a rhyming word based on one of the following words
Dog, Cat, Sock, Tree, Two
Directions: Students will a sheet of paper with two halves. On one half, there is a picture of an object. Students
will come up with a word that rhymes with the picture on the left. Student will then draw a picture of the word
they came up with.
